"I will enter Thailand again on a Non-O visa to extend after the procedure. Other times I was in Thailand I had an AIS Prepaid SIM with 'unlimited' data, which cost about 1200 Baht.
Now I want to live there permanently and am exploring other possibilities.
So my question is: what operator and formula would you advise is the best to get a decent amount of data (minimum 2 GB/day or 60 GB/month)."

TLDR : Answer Summary
In response to a question about mobile data plans suitable for expats in Thailand, several users shared their experiences with various operators. AIS is frequently recommended, offering several plans, including unlimited data options at different speeds and costs. True is also mentioned as a competitive option. The consensus suggests that AIS's 'Net Marathon Max' and True's 'True 5G Ready' plans provide significant data allowances for reasonable prices, catering well to expats' needs for stable internet access.

I've figured it out. Thanks to your comments and ChatGPT, I now know that AIS calls it "Net Marathon Max" and Thrue calls it "True 5G Ready." Similar in terms of offering, speed, and volume. About 2200 baht per year, 15Mbps speed, and 100Gb/month. Thanks for your comments.
yes I got that deal yesterday must be a new number but you can ask to choose 1 from their list of numbers also ask them to unlock otp worldwide just incase u go home

AIS 6 month plan unlimited at 6mbps for 1800 baht. Tether all devices to it including TV. Works great. All you need then is a firestick and Wizz TV.
Kevin Hall so this is unlimited Wifi and 100Gb 4G annually.... This is 8 Gb per month on 4G...Now this all depends on how good and how many wifi hotspots there are. So how good is this wifi network over the country? In the city,.

On the same subject / I have a 500gb plan from home which I donโt want to discontinue because I need it to check my banks and log in info . Whatโs the cheapest , I just need a number for the local authorities, other than that I wonโt be using it , that is available . It cannot be a tourist sim that will expire . I need to keep that number long term . Thanks everyone
I have a prepaid from True. Minimal service, just for OTP. 120 thb a year and 49 thb for the SIM. Use Google Fi unlimited for my world wide cell service and data.
we're coming out there at the end of November and dealing with figuring out all of the same logistics. Am planning on switching my US number to a Google voice number. There is no charge for it but will only work with Wi-Fi. Which is fine because my main purpose for using it would be for Bank authorizations etc. Which I would be doing from home anyway. And I get a thai SIM when I get there for regular daily use.
๐คทโโ๏ธ I don't have 5G. But, almost not really use the 'SIM internet'. Most places I have the WiFi code. It's just to stay connected e.g. in the car.
