I have dtv visa i get in march this year and i stayed 180 days after that i travel to vietnam for a week and come back and that time their is no new visa rules and they didnt ask me anything and i came normally without hustle . But if i go again and come back do i need to show them proof of 500k in bank acount and also does i need to show my soft thai activities program again which is already completed but this time do i neeed to show again ?
Hi everyone! I first entered Thailand on August 31st on my DTV visa, and I’ll be leaving on December 1st after using it for 3 months. I plan to re-enter in January on the same type of visa (for my Soft Power Muay Thai training).
Can anyone please tell me what the requirements are when I re-enter?
• Do I need to show proof of accommodation and other documents again,
or can I just enter without any problem since it’s the same visa type?
Would really appreciate any advice or recent experiences — thank you! 🙏🇹🇭
Hey everyone. I’m nearing my 360 days for my DTV, all my 90 day check-ins, and my 180 day extension were all done to the exact dates, and everything is in order.
But I’m wondering if anyone has had any issues leaving Thailand and returning back with DTV?
Can I do a border run? Do I have to be out of Thailand for a certain amount of time? Do they re-check credentials when re-entering?
Those who have DTV soft power visa. Do you need to book an additional course after documents for the first expire? And does immigration ask for course documents during re-entry?
Many courses are sold for 6-12 months, so I’m wondering what to do after documents for course expire.
Hi everyone question for those here on a DTV… I was just told that when you leave out of the country for your 6month trip to exit that when reentry comes about they ask you to show your 500,000tbh again someway before they let you enter back in. Anyone that has already did their 6 month reentry could give some insight that would be awesome. I’m prolly will have it in there but that seems outrageous to ask to see my bank account or bank statement on the spot or is that normal ?
Hi everyone . I have a valid DTV visa and will be leaving Thailand and re-entering by land soon.
Last time I re-entered by plane, immigration didn’t ask for anything other than my DTV visa. It was quick and smooth.
This time, since I’ll be entering via a land border (VIA Padang Besar, Malaysia) I just wanted to ask:
Has anyone ever been asked to show proof of funds when re-entering with a valid DTV visa?
And if so, would a brokerage investment account be accepted, or does it need to be a traditional bank account, like what was required for the initial application?
Once I leave after my first 6 months on my DTV and come back do I still need to have proof of 500,000 baht in liquid bank account again when i re enter for the next 6 months? I keep majority of my funds in an Individual Brokerage Account so that I’m gaining interest. I’d prefer not to hold that much in a standard checking or savings account.h
I know showing proof of funds isn’t common upon re-entry into Thailand, but has anyone been asked to show proof of full 500k baht? Or is it only 20K baht you have to prove? Thanks!
