For those who entered Thailand with their DTV, just curious did anyone experience any issues? I got mine approved from Hanoi 2 weeks ago. I'm in Cambodia now and will cross the Poipet border by land on Saturday. I printed out my visa approval as well. I think most people entered from the airport so just checking if people entered via land without any issues. Thank you!

I traveled to Poipet, Cambodia for a border run today. I drove there with my wife and friends who stayed on the Thailand side. Arrived at 1:00 pm. It took about 2 hours from exiting Thailand to entering Thailand. The only complication was exiting Cambodia, the Customs Agent wouldnโ€™t stamp my passport until I talked to the Customs Officer at a nearby desk. He simply warned me that if Thailand doesnโ€™t let me back in, then I could have a problem . I thanked him, got my stamp and proceeded to Thailand Immigration without any issue.

Hi everyone. I'm in Cambodia now and am planning to travel from Poi Pet to the Ban Laem Border Checkpoint tomorrow to re-enter Thailand, as I'm told that the Poi Pet border is hard to re-enter. I've been quoted 2500 THB for a taxi to the checkpoint. Can anyone tell me if that's a good price or not, and can anyone suggest an alternative bus/taxi combo that would be cheaper? Thanks.

Same day departure as that of the arrival was denied to me at Poi Phet, Cambodia immigration exit.

The officer said I must stay at least one day in Cambodia.

If this wasn't the case for same day arrivals and departures through the Aranyaprathet-Poipet Crossing, it now is.

I just thought someone here would find it of interest.

Are the struggles with the poipet border crossing when you try and come into Thailand from Cambodia or the other way around? Or both?

Update on Poipet Cambodia/ Arunya Prathet Thailand border crossing.

I got a visa on arrival for B2000 (take spare passport photo) but it is highly recommended that you stay one night.

Otherwise the Thai officials could reject your re-entry and you have to start all over again.

Get the exit stamp from Cambodia officials the next day for B600

Walk across the Friendship Bridge to the Thai Immigration to re-Enter, pick up Departure Card and fill it out.

You need to go up one level; try to take the stairs on the right hand side not the escalator on the left; you will save yourself an hour or more of waiting.
