Same day departure as that of the arrival was denied to me at Poi Phet, Cambodia immigration exit.
The officer said I must stay at least one day in Cambodia.
If this wasn't the case for same day arrivals and departures through the Aranyaprathet-Poipet Crossing, it now is.
I just thought someone here would find it of interest.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reported being denied same-day departure from Cambodia at the Poi Phet border, where they were informed that a minimum one-night stay is now required. This has raised concerns among expats, especially regarding the increasing complications at the Aranyaprathet-Poipet border. Many commenters share warnings about this border crossing, suggesting alternatives and expressing the general deterioration of the situation since the pandemic, indicating issues with booking accommodations and potential waiting times.
Hope you are ok when you hit Thai immigration tomorrow

Not a surprise...as we have been warning on this forum... AVOID POIPET BORDER CROSSING. It's a BIG problem for foreigners entering Thailand from Cambodia... especially if you are trying to do it yourself.
The info we have on the border crossings with Cambodia are AVOID <-(read that as DO NOT GO) to the Aranyaprathet / Poipet border. It is problematic. Ban Laem / Duang and Ban Phak Kad / Phsar Prum are workable borders but bouncing on your own you will be asked for "fees" to get back in. Ban Hat Lek / Cham Yeam in Trat can be finicky, Chong Chom / O Smach in Surin isn't too bad.
They CAN hard line you and say you have to spend a night in cambodia if they want to at ANY of the border crossings before you can stamp back in to thailand. "
ban phak kad is the border I intend to go to living in bang saray. Have you heard what the fee cost is by chance? Might still just be best going with an agent
we recommend going with an experienced border run service company. They know what you need to do and that you will get your New stamp successfully. Google Border Run PATTAYA
Several runs happen during the week and even one company offers a ride in their spacious luxury van.
yes I think it's worth this for me as I won't have a exit ticket in 30 days for my first run and it will be after 60 day visa/30 day extension and I was in Thailand for 4 months November to March so I have to many reasons to be rejected. Thanks again
