What challenges might I face when entering Thailand with a DTV Visa via the Poipet land border?

For those who entered Thailand with their DTV, just curious did anyone experience any issues? I got mine approved from Hanoi 2 weeks ago. I'm in Cambodia now and will cross the Poipet border by land on Saturday. I printed out my visa approval as well. I think most people entered from the airport so just checking if people entered via land without any issues. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about experiences entering Thailand with a DTV visa via the Poipet land border, having obtained the visa from Hanoi and currently in Cambodia. Responses from community members suggest that entry via the Poipet border is feasible without issues, though caution was advised due to the border's reputation. One commenter shared a specific instance involving an immigration officer's error in stamping the stay period correctly. Overall, the consensus indicates that having the proper visa should mitigate entry concerns.

What is the supporting document needed in Hanoi embassy ya?

Another Group member has already made entry into Thailand with a DTV Visa at Poi Pet (Aranyaprathet) land border checkpoint.

As with any entry anywhere (land, air, sea) for any country, ALWAYS double-check any entry stamps to see if they are correct or not....

Remarks: the stay period (180 days) should have been 07 October 2024 to 04 April 2025 = the Thai immigration Officer mistakenly did not roll the month dial for changing to the correct month)....

Poi Pet is the worst border in Thailand but since you have a proper visa it shouldn’t be a problem

why is it a bad border? I've done it before without any problem

Anonymous participant more people are denied there than any other border or they’ll make you stay a few days but with a proper visa it should be ok but it’s the worst to bounce

Shouldn't have any issues, even tho Poipet is the absolute worst choice of borders to choose.

why is that? I've crossed it before without any issues

Anonymous participant it just is. So many reports from people doing bounces for visa exempt stamps with a history of exempt stamps or long questionable stays

oh I see, I haven't done visa runs before. I entered Thailand 4 times in the past 2 years with several months spaced between. Only did one 30 day extension so hopefully it's okay
