Could use some advice. I applied to us LA embassy as a freelancer, so I do not have a registered business. I attached a pdf with a cover letter to indicate I am a freelancer. But received the following back:
* Other request documents: Please upload a business registration of the company
* Other request documents: Please describe a business portfolio of the company
* Other request documents: Your recent tax return
* Other request documents: Employment contract or employment certificate from company
* Other request documents: Guarantee letter from the company implies that you work remotely
Majority of my work is with another company that is registered and I have a freelance contract with them. I could also have them easily write me a letter indicating I can work remotely. Would that be the best option moving forward? I am mostly confused about the document "Please describe a business portfolio of the company" as I thought the PDF below would suffice.
Has anyone from the US recently applied for the electronic 1-year visa "stamp"? I'm wondering how long the wait is. I submitted electronically to the embassy in DC.
Im here in retirement visa. I’m planning on going back to US mid-May to attend best friends wedding and be for a month Would love to get my Thai partner to be there with family and friends but I know I know not easy.
I think it’s about assets and perceived escape potential.
She owns property, homes, has teenage daughters she’s responsible for, job but not regular like corporate income. We’ve together a little less than a year - that may be a qualifying or disqualifying factor.
Don’t tell me it’s not easy I know - but maybe there is the right person to ask and maybe make it happen. Like an agency
Hi. I am a doctor from Nepal. I am currently looking for options to be at the United States for my exam that I must attend before summer ends. The US embassy's here and the neighbouring countries are yet to re-operate B1/B2 visa after Covid restrictions. Is it possible for me to gain B1/ B2 visa from Thailand or some other countries?
Hi all, has anyone in the US successfully filled out a tourist visa online? I am confused by the last 4 questions requiring documents uploaded. I have tried contacting embassy for clarification but no reply.
7 . "Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.)"
I have already uploaded my passport and filled out my address in previous sections. Is this question referring non US citizens only?
8. "Applicant is required to upload his/her passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip."
I have not done any international travel in the last 12 months. Do I just not upload anything?
9. Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency.
What did you all use for this? I was thinking a photo of my drivers license?
10. "Please upload your picture holding the photo and information page of the passport."
Are they asking for me to take a picture of myself holding the passport bio page up?
Sorry if this seems kind of dumb but I am finding the wording of these questions confusing.
