I requested to renew my insurance from a company listed in TGIA for the extension of stay for Visa OA. The company stated in the email "Due to the new regulation of Thai immigration has changed the coverage of Health insurance from 440k THB to 3.5m THB or 100,000 USD?" Could anyone advise if 440k THB coverage is still acceptable by the Thai immigration?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A recent change in Thai immigration regulations has increased the required health insurance coverage for Visa OA holders from 440,000 THB to 3.5 million THB (approximately $100,000 USD). Most commenters confirm that the lower coverage is no longer acceptable, although some embassies may still accept the old policy under certain circumstances. Suggestions for reputable insurance providers, such as AXA, were also provided.

If you're applying for a new OA some embassies and consulates are still accepting the
******
policy. If you're a regular visitor back to your home country it might be worth checking your embassy requirements to see if it's worth your while to get a new visa

I use this company for 400,000USD coverage. I'm 63 and pay 132USD per month. As long as I don't claim there's no increase. They cover until 99. Email Michael for a quote.
