I will certainly appreciate your helpful insight ! 🙏🙏 As an American citizen, I plan to apply for O-X visa from Europe, the Thai embassy in France tells me that it would be difficult, if not impossible, because it requires a bank account in Thailand with a Thai bank. And hence, they suggest me first apply for one-year visa with multiple entries, open a bank account in Thailand and afterwards, apply for O-X visa.
However, someone in this group shared earlier that he applied for DTV visa from Vietnam and his foreign bank account worked. And a visa agency in Taiwan tells me a bank account from Taiwan would work. (I'm also a Taiwan citizen)
I need some insights on this, especially as the Thai embassy reminds me that if I fail to submit the exact documents, the *€*350 fee isn't refundable. (the staff is patient with my concerns and super friendly 😃)
Looking for some advice - I have the 500k going into my personal current account this week from a family member and I will be applying via London embassy. Two questions:
1. I’ve heard reports of requests for the 500k being in your bank for 3 months, is this true or can I apply as soon as the money is in my account?
2. I am currently in Thailand but will be flying to Greece in August for a month, then into London in September for a few weeks before hoping to head back with my DTV end of September. Can I apply when I am in Greece as I will have my Thailand exit stamp? Or do I HAVE to be in the UK when I apply?
-Applied 9th of july to Thai embassy (Sweden) as a remote worker (workcation category)
-I filled in all the information they asked, but I also added my latest payslip + a written explanation that my work is 100 % remote, and what I do at my job.
-My application changed status to "Pending approval" on the 15th of july
-Approved on the 16th of July 2025. In total the process took 7 days, including the weekend.
I have a question about the DTV visa in Thailand. I want to apply for it. I've been in Thailand in February. I left to do a border run in Malaysia and then I came back and I have been training Muay Thai in Chiang Mai for the past month. I just left again on July 4th to meet my parents in Sicily and then I'm supposed to fly back the 19th. I talked to my coach. He told me to go to Bali to fill out for the DTV visa. My question is about the 500k baht. I have a Vanguard account that's had over 11,000 usd in it within the past three months and now I just went ahead and completed it and put the 15,000 USD which is the 500,000 baht. Will that be acceptable or do they need to see that 500k bot in my account for more than three months? My coach’s is filling out the proper paperwork for my dtv visa through Muay Thai. I also have 55k USD in my 401k on my vanguard but I’m not sure if that matters. I know have 17580 usd in my vanguard account now. This is not a 401k. Also where is the best place and fastest to apply for the dtv visa. I fly out the 19th and do not have a flight out yet so figuring out my next move to apply for this
In case helps anyone else get a question off their shoulder...reply from Thai Embassy in Jakarta this morning, regarding how long the 500k Baht needs seasoning. Figured I'd best ask them directly, as kept getting mixed answers on this page.
I’m planning to apply for the DTV from Thai Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar.
I’m currently working as a short-term remote worker, and I have bank statement showing an amount equivalent to over 500,000 THB. But , this amount was deposited only a month ago.
I would like to ask:
• How long should I wait to be strong financial proof in my account?
• What kind of documents should I prepare and submit as a remote worker?
Hi I’ve got a problem with the eVisa system. I hope someone can advise me how to proceed.
A week ago I applied for Non-O visas for me and my wife at the Thai embassy in Berlin, completed the applications and paid with my credit card. I just checked the progress and both are marked “Pending Payment.”
Now just around that time, without any prior warning, my bank swapped out my credit card due to a “security issue.” All the payments I made around that time on the old card were honoured, but I see there’s no debit for the visa payments.
On the eVisa website, there’s no mechanism for going in and changing the payment details.
Does the “pending payment” mean they just haven’t gotten to my application and processed the payment? Or does it mean the payment was blocked and never went through? (Maybe my bank’s security problem was actually the visa payments processed by Kasikorn.)
Should I just let those applications die and submit new ones with the payment from my new card? Or wait for them to come back to me and ask for payment?
We’re traveling to Thailand mid-August so the clock is ticking.
I submitted by dependent dtv visa to royal thai embassy Yangon, Myanmar in wednesday 9th july 2025, however thursday and friday were public holiday in thailand and embassy was closed. They may resume working on monday, 14th July. I would like to know whether the bank statement that i submitted to embassy was the date 8th july is still valid or not?
Need a visa agent to support me and my VN gf with DTV visas. I'm Lithuanian. Have the needed money on account, just don't want to do it through my embassy in person, as it's in Denmark. I'm in VN now, would be best to solve all here or online. Any options?
Hi, can someone tell me what exchange rate does the embassy use? Like how much is 500k THB in EUR, USD? I googled it but i doubt they use the same exchange rate.
