Sorry, once again. I just apply for a METV in the Vienna Embassy.

On different intertnetsides you can read that you can apply 3 month in advance before entering Thailand.

In this forum it was said, you have to apply very shortly before departure, because the 6 month start with getting the approval, so in this case you will have much less then the six months for staying in the country.....

What is wright?

Thank you!

I have learnt from this forum that if one wants to get a new Non-B, one has to cancel the Non-O Retirement at the office of issue (in my case, Chiangmai). But yesterday I queried this with the IO at the CNX immigration office, and he said that Non-O retirement cannot be cancelled like other visas. What one needs to do is just leave the country from any exit port, then get a new Non-B (in my case, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur). So now I am confused. Do I need to cancel the existing Non-O retirement in Chiangmai, or simply let it lapse, and then apply for a new Non-B through the e-Visa portal in Kuala Lumpur? Please advise. Thank you.

Hey everyone, I’m thinking of applying for the DTV in Ho Chi Minh City soon and trying to get clarity on the financial proof requirement.

I’ve got more than 500,000 baht in GBP sitting in my UK bank account, but it’s only been there for a few weeks. Some places say it needs to have been sitting there for three months, others say it doesn’t matter.

Has anyone here applied in HCMC and got approved with less than three months of bank history?

I can also include a sponsorship letter from a parent with their bank statements and proof of relationship if needed, but I’d rather just use my own funds if possible.

Would really appreciate any recent experiences or advice. Thanks.

Question:

I am not sure what I will need or not need but here is the scenario.

USA Citizen

I was in Thailand from middle February to end of April.

I am coming back next Tuesday and plan to stay until Dec, 18th give or take.

I booked an onward flight to Cambodia in early October for a week with a return flight to Thailand until December with a exit flight to the USA

I know I get a 60-day tourist visa exempt upon arrival the first time. Will, what or should I get some kind of other visa for my stay?

I need some guidance here

I had an approved DTV visa, which I applied for in Ho Chi Minh City. However, when I entered Thailand, immigration noticed that my DTV had a typo in the passport number, it didn’t match the number on my actual passport.

As a result, I was granted a tourist visa on arrival. The immigration officers at the airport were unsure how to resolve the issue.

Earlier today, I emailed the Thai embassy that issued the visa, and I’ve also scheduled an appointment with the Thai embassy in Bangkok later this week. I’m looking for any advice or information on how best to proceed.

My apologies, my previous post wasn’t clear. It’s been a hectic day. Thanks for the advice.

Hi everyone,

I applied for the 5-year DTV as a Cyprus tax resident (Non Domicile) and company owner, but mistakenly selected UAE as my current location because Cyprus has no embassy and I thought that field only chose the processing embassy.

I submitted all Cyprus-based docs, then got asked to provide UAE documents. I need to know if I can fix the existing application to reflect Cyprus instead, or if I must reapply (and pay again).

Also: I am a Non Domicile (60 days) in Cyprus. I have no residency card—can I use rental agreement + utility bills + tax residency proof? And is a shareholder certificate enough to prove my business status? I'm not employed, my only source of income is through dividends being a shareholder and director of my company.

Did anyone have this situation? What's my best collection of papers to get the visa?
