Could anyone please advise the current documents required to accompany an application from Tourist visa to Non O ( under consideration) with the view to then apply for year extension based on retirement.

Also, am I right in assuming the form required is TM.7 ?

IO will be CW so I'm trying to ask to save a visit there just to ask what is required.

Thanks

Just extended my Special Tourist Visa at Chiang Mai Immigration Office, so thought I’d share my experience. It couldn’t have been smoother, was done within 30 minutes. No complicated document requirements. All you need is:

- copy of your TM6 departure card

- copy of your TM30

- copy of your passport and visa

- fill in the TM2, TM3 and TM7 forms (all available there)

NO NEED to show your insurance or quarantine certificates or even lease or proof of accomodation. They declined to see those even though I insisted to show them just to make sure.

Just wanted to share my experience with STV renewal process, as I couldn't find much before we completed it.

We are based in Chiang Mai and the renewal was super easy. Unlike rumours flying around, it was not difficult at all. We needed to have:

* TM 2 and 3 - Acknowledgement of understanding overstay rules and renewal process (available at immigration office)

* TM 7 - Application for renewal (available at immigration office). Including passport size photo.

* TM 30 - Showing where we have been staying in Thailand (available at immigration office, if the hotel/accom has filed it)

* Photocopy of passport, visa and TM 6 (departure card)

* Proof of accommodation (in our case I just printed off the AirBNB booking)

* Letter from ASQ confirming we completed quarantine

We did not have to show proof of health insurance (although we have it). Staff were super helpful!

There have been a lot of negative posts about this visa, but for us the process has been pretty easy, right from the initial application. It has been a great visa option for those people like us who wanted to stay in Thailand for a longer period (up to 9 months).

Hi all, I’m currently married to a thai national and have completed the first couple of phases of the non o as this is the first visa of this type I have applied for. I now need to return within the last 45 days and I need to complete the below.

3 - go back and apply for a year extension (1900 baht)

However I can’t find the information required I need to submit and which TM form I need to fill in as I don’t know what this step is called. Any ideas please? It’s not through lack of trying to find the information lol. Thanks very much 🙏🏼

I’m a U.S. Passport holder. Went to Bangkok Immigration (MTT counter K) today to get my 60 Visit Thai family extension (married to Thai wife) from an expired Visa Exempt Stamp that expires April 12th 2020. Just wanted to share my experience.

I started the process with an online queue appointment. Not entirely sure if it is mandatory but I did it to be safe. Check in and document check was quite fast. After I went back down to apply for the extension. I will note that I had to transfer my last stamp as I had received a new passport just before amnesty. This process took the longest. After this I went back to see the IO to process the extension. This is what they asked for in terms of documents.

1.) Passport

2.) copy of passport information page

3.) copy of visa Stamp page

4.) copy of TM. 6

5.) TM. 7 with picture 4x6cm

6.) form of acknowledgement of terms and conditions for permit of temporary stay in Thailand (stm.2)

7.) the acknowledgment of penalties of overstay form

8.) copy of marriage license and copy of marriage registration (kor ror 2 and 3)

9.) Tm.30

10.) copy of wife’s Tabien Baan

11.) copy of wife’s Thai ID

12.) copy of rental contract (we rent a condo)

13.) 1900 THB

Waiting time after was about 10 minutes and then IO assistant gave my passport back to me with a stamp that is valid until Nov. 25th. Pretty easy process all in all and everyone at MTT counter K site couldn’t be nicer.

Also I’d like to thank Everyone at Thai Visa Advice for all of the help. This is an extremely important page that is really helpful to anyone seeking advice or looking for information that could help them. I’d actually be quite lost without checking this site daily. Thank you to the admins and keep it going!💪🏻👍🏻🙏🏻

Thur. 26, Mar.

Just got back home after going to the NONTHABURI immigration office this morning.

My daughter (USA passport) has a 30 day tourist visa that has already been extended once. Normally no more extensions allowed. Her present visa expires on April 2.

We were 2nd in the line, first thing this morning. Immigration officer looked at all of our paperwork and indicated that everything was in order and there should be no problem extending her visa.

But, we couldn't do it today as we must have an APPOINTMENT. So, he gave us an appointment for Monday, Mar. 30.

Paperwork we showed immigration officer:

1.

Copy of first page and every page of passport that has any visas on it. (Along with TM6, of course.) Every page signed by my daughter.

2.

Letter from USA embassy with name, passport # and DOB on it. (We received this letter via e-mail and made a hard copy.)

3.

Letter showing proof of medical insurance.

4.

Print out of a canceled flight. (She had a flight to Singapore.)

5.

TM 7 form with photo.

6.

STM 2 form

7.

Copy of latest TM30 from my landlord with daughter's name on it.

8.

Copy of MY rental agreement. (Our daughter is staying with my wife and I.)

9.

Map showing where we live.

10.

And several print-outs of pictures of my daughter. Standing outside of our house, and inside of the house in several different rooms.

Again, my daughter has not yet received her "extra" 30 day extension on her tourist visa. But the officer indicated that when we go back on Monday for our appointment with the above mentioned forms, she should receive an extension.

Hope this info is helpful to some of you.
