Just extended my Special Tourist Visa at Chiang Mai Immigration Office, so thought I’d share my experience. It couldn’t have been smoother, was done within 30 minutes. No complicated document requirements. All you need is:
- copy of your TM6 departure card
- copy of your TM30
- copy of your passport and visa
- fill in the TM2, TM3 and TM7 forms (all available there)
NO NEED to show your insurance or quarantine certificates or even lease or proof of accomodation. They declined to see those even though I insisted to show them just to make sure.
