I'm doing my Non-O Retirement visa extension this coming week at Chang Watthana and I'm going to attempt to change over to the income based, as opposed to the 800k banked (I still have the banked 800k, just in case).

How many days (or hours) ahead of my immigration appointment should I get the official one year bank statement and updated bank book? Or maybe it doesn't matter as long as it was generated within the last 30 days?

From past experience using the banked 800K, I received the statement and bank book updated from the bank the day of.

TIA

I'm in Thailand on a non-immigrant O visa based on marriage and my next annual extension of stay will be in about 5 months. I may have an opportunity to head back to the US to bank away some money on a job there that could last indefinitely. I fully intend to reside in Thailand ultimately, but I'm wondering if there's a way to maintain my status as a non-immigrant spouse in Thailand or do I have to start the whole process again?

Just curious if anyone has had the same experience.

Good evening,

Does anyone know if there is a limitation on the number of times you can enter Laos with a new visa on arrival each time? I went to Laos to try to get a Non b now in July (flew in and got a visa on arrival) but couldn’t due to not having a booking, my husband wants to go away this long weekend and we thinking of going to Vientiane by train (so will get new visa on arrival), then planning to go again in August(with a new visa on arrival) to get my Non B (I have a booking at Vientiane). Just wanting to know if Laos will not allow me to go into Laos again for a third time so soon?

Hi.

I am changing my reason for extension non immigrant o visa based on having a Thai child. What documents are needed?

Does anyone have an updated list. First time I'm doing this. I know already some of the documents needed. Just hoping for a list to check through.

Thank you

Just been to Jomtien, Pattaya immigration for 90 day report, i know you can do it online, but it was easy to walk in hand passport, get number, go and have a beer, walk back, pick up passport.

Today was different, need copy passport, copy visa, copy last renewal, plus fill out a 90 day form, after that same process as before.

Understand it changed today, 18 Oct.

I entered Thailand the 8th of December 2022 on a non immigrant O visa 90 days. It expires the 7th of March. I would like to stay in Thailand until the 30st of April 2023.

I would like to come back the 1 of November 2023 and then stay until 30st of April 2024.

Does it make sense for me to go for the 1 year retirement extension? If so, when do I have to have the 800k baht in the Thai bank account?

Good afternoon! I have a question referring to ed-visa cancelation.

My Ed-Visa expired on 17th Jan 2022, and I came back to my home country at that time for a holiday. In March 2022, I obtained a non-B Visa in my home country to work for a company in Thailand, which is valid for 90 days. However, I haven't canceled my Ed-Visa and now I am not able to extend the non-B visa for up to 1 year until the Ed-Visa is canceled.

May I ask in this case, should I have any problem at the immigration office when I ask for a Visa cancellation or should I have to pay a fine?

Thank you for your advice in advance.

A question about TM30.

At present, in Bangkok, my partner has a TM30 logon and when necessary I complete my TM30 needs on the immigration intranet with her login.

We're moving to Saraburi province and after notifying Saraburi of my new address, TM28, I guess, can I with the old TM30 login and password, report my status by changing the address and province details as a user or does Saraburi need to give me a new login, if permitted?

Saraburi immigration is a fair old drive away so trying to do some online research at the moment.

Thanks for any comments

Shipmates. I'm currently on the last stay of an METV (validity ended in February) and admitted until May 11.

I'm switching to Elite. All is in order, but they cannot accommodate at Chaengwattana until May 25.

From my talks with Elite, due to the "amnesty", it seems I should just hang back and show up the 25th to make the transition.

While I feel fairly certain this is all kosher, I just wanted to ask if anyone would advise(<- correct, right(?)) differently.

Cheers!

An update. A week or so back there was a photograph of a notice on the Jomtien Immigration door stating that 90 day reports had to produce their bank books. A friend has just left and says there was no such requirement.
