Hi.

I am changing my reason for extension non immigrant o visa based on having a Thai child. What documents are needed?

Does anyone have an updated list. First time I'm doing this. I know already some of the documents needed. Just hoping for a list to check through.

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking an updated list of required documents to extend their Non-Immigrant O visa, using the reason of having a Thai child. They mention already knowing some of the requirements but want a complete list for verification as this is their first application for an extension in this context. Comments from the community emphasize the necessity of demonstrating parental rights and advise visiting the local immigration office for the latest information.

You need to have a parental right to be able to apply for an extension based on being a parent of a Thai child.

This is the general information of a 1-year extension based on raising a Thai child, but you definitely NEED to get the late requirements from YOUR local immigration office. Go there and get the latest handout soon enough.
