Upon returning do I need to report back to immigration? To say I've returned? Within a day or 2?
Few weeks back I did my 90 day report.
When I return the 90 day will restart from arrival date.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a multiple entry retirement visa and returning to Thailand after two weeks, whether you need to report back to immigration depends on the policies of your local immigration office regarding the TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) form. Some offices require you to file a new TM30 upon returning, while others may not if you are returning to the same address from which you filed your previous reports. It is advisable to check with your immigration office for their specific requirements after your return.

Whether you file a TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) form when you come back into the country is dependent on your immigration office and their policy towards TM30's
Some want you to file a new TM30 when you come in from overseas
Whereas
Some say as long as you're returning to the address you live at (where you got the extension and file 90 day reports) you don't need to file again
There is no way to answer it, you're going to have to ask your immigration office whether they require new TM30 when you come back from abroad.
