Hello people! I am 36 American and medically retired from the military. I will be getting 100% disability and will be continuing my education for my bachelor's degree fully online.

What options are there for me if any to permanently relocate to Thailand? I've read a bit about the visa options, but some expertise would be much appreciated! Thank you all!

Hello👋

Anyone have experience with Thai Privledge Visas and/or using Siam Legal International?

Read mixed reviews.

May you suggest a reputable company to assist with visas/banking?

Just retired with TP Gold visa and now getting all the paperwork sorted out for a long term stay

Got 10 year rental agreement for a house and got issued yellow house book and pink id card at the local city administration (Amphur)

Next step is drivers license, need to take a test and get a medical certificate but think the TP visa plus pink id card and yellow book is ok as documentation basis for application

Just one question if anyone should have same issue, my rental agreement and yellow book does not show same address. Owner of the rental house is not very cooperative so relatives of my late wife (I am now single and intend to stay single) organized it on their blue book. It included interview at the Amphur and some paperwork. I was informed at the city office that the 2 addresses don’t have to match as many Thais are registered one place but have actually moved and live/work in another place

Any comment or advice anyone, I was married for 37 years and the wife took care of everything, now I’m on my own and need all the advice I can get

Hello all,

I am from the United States and interested in making the move to Thailand after several visits.

I am retired and receiving a pension but I am younger than 50.

Which visa should I look into applying for?

Please and thank you.

Hi, I’m getting ready to extend my visa for 30 days. After that, I need to figure out the best visa option.

To be honest, this whole visa situation is a bit of a headache. It feels like there isn’t enough clear or direct information online that outlines the requirements for each visa and where exactly to go.

It’s been frustrating so far.

Can someone tell me more about the visa options and also provide a physical address in Laos where I should go to apply for a visa?

I have money in the bank, but I’ve heard that I might not be able to access some of my own funds for certain visa types. Is that true? Do I just need to show my bank statements, or do I have to open a Thai bank account and go through all of that?

What’s the best option for someone who wants to stay long-term but also needs the fastest/easiest visa solution right now?

Good morning to everyone.

In a few months me and my wonderful Thai wife for 38 years will be coming over to Thailand to leave the rest of our remaining years.

We already have registered our marriage and I have the yellow book.

Question is: what is the proper procedure step by step for a visa to leave there for ever starting from Australia.

Thank you all in advance and may you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Brand New on the group, so forgive me if the questions have been asked before.

I’m over 50 and looking to retire in Thailand.

I’ve seen that there is a long term residents visa for over 50s (10 years)

Is there agents that can help with these. I contacted one and they said they couldn’t help or do you have to apply for yourself on line.

What is the cost of these types of visas?

Finally, if I went for a standard retirement visa and used an agent, what is the average cost of agents fees?
