I am from the United States and interested in making the move to Thailand after several visits.
I am retired and receiving a pension but I am younger than 50.
Which visa should I look into applying for?
Please and thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A U.S. retiree under 50 looking to move to Thailand should consider visa options such as the Elite Visa or the Thai Privilege Visa, as there are limited choices for individuals under 50. Some comments suggest exploring the DTV Visa as a budget-friendly alternative that may serve well for a temporary stay.
you can apply almost anywhere except in Thailand. Suggest you apply in the States before you make your way here. Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) read through posts in that group for requirements and entry scheme.
you don't have to apply in the USA, but you CAN'T apply for it in Thailand. Vietnam is a good option if you're in Southeast Asia as both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh embassies have good results (typically 5 business days)
