As an online teacher working with a platform, could you please clarify what specific documents or evidence I need to provide to demonstrate my employment status for the Digital Nomad Visa application? Would a certificate or statement from the platform confirming my work and income be sufficient?
Question to UK teachers in the group (if there are any....), or international teachers if there aren't.
Have any of you had success gaining a DTV working as an online teacher of English using a TEFL qualification through a UK based teaching agency?
Asking because that's one of the options for my wife and I in a couple of years once I retire from primary school teaching here in the UK, as the security deposit is lower than the retirement visa, and the DTV gives me options to top up the pension with a bit of income.
I've been in Thailand for 11 months on both the tourist stamp and education Visa. I'll be returning to the USA next month for about 2 months, then back to Thailand. I'll be coming in on a 30 day stamp but will be going for another education Visa, this time for Muay Thai (previously it was for language). I planned to stay in Thailand until December, then return to the USA and apply for the DTV.
I started working as a freelance English tutor on Preply about a month ago. This makes me a contractor I believe. I planned to continue this for the next 9 months, and hoped to use this as my activity when I apply for the DTV in December. I currently have no Thai students and will turn away any that try to book.
Is this a viable route for the DTV? I was thinking to clearly state on my Preply profile that I cannot teach Thai students, and make sure to highlight this in my application.
Hi any online English teachers who applied for Dtv visa and got it? I’m just about to start the applications and I would appreciate some advice . Thank you
Hi if I have the money in the account but I just started teaching online so I’m starting to building up my business, the income is stilll not big. I work through teaching platform
would this be enough to apply for Dtv visa? Or do i have to have my own teaching Website?
I am travelling through south east Asia now but will have to go back to Europe in June and stay there for 4 months .
If i get the visa, can i enter and leave Thailand any time i want during 5 year period? Is it multiple entry?
I’m planning to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and I wanted to get some advice. I’m a freelancer and teach English online to Italian and Spanish students. The company who sends me the money is based in Spain, I'm from UK. I’ve got one invoice as I've only been working as a freelancer for 1 month but it’s not a huge amount. I’m planning to work more hours when I’m in Thailand, so I’ll be earning more then. I can show proof of over 500,000 THB in my bank account.
Do you think this will be enough to get the DTV, do i have to show the specific number within the payslip or is it just a payslip with my name on. Any tips would be super helpful!
I'm looking into the DTV. I'm an American digital nomad running a YT channel and online music teaching program as a sole proprietor. Pretty DIY so my proof of work would be my YouTube channel and teaching site. I'm not an LLC or anything. Will this cause any issues?
Anyone get approved while working as an online teacher? I dont have a contract per se as I often work through the teacher marketplaces, alongside some private students
Wondering how to do/show this with documents etc. Any help appreciated, thanks
