I have a DTV visa and applied for my two dependents. I applied for both at the same time. One was approved today (my son) but the other (my wife) is still “pending approval.” No word from the Embassy in Hanoi. Should I visit the embassy Monday or is this just a waiting game?
Ive been in Thailand 2 years already and recently I got approved for the dtv visa, is it possible to add my child to it? We homeschool so I don’t want an education visa. I’ve been informed by different immigration officials over the years that children under 14yrsr old don’t need a visa. However, on multiple occasions I’ve encountered issues at airport immigration because my child doesn’t have a visa. Our Last entry the officer threatened that my child could be black listed in the future. Just trying to get a clear understanding of what to do since nobody’s on the same page.
* already had online info entered in, submitted my DTV application
Monday 17 March
* 9:30am reply from Thai office. They want some sort of official entry/exit certification. I research this and read that you're supposed to be a Taiwan resident in order to get it. Panic begins to set it.
* 11:00am I think all hope is lost, but decide to go to the Taiwan Immigration Agency and just see what happens.
* 2pm after a long queue, I successfully obtain the required certification doc. I'm in shock but happy. I upload it and resubmit my DTV application.
* 7:30pm DTV approved. I add this to dependent applications and turn them all in.
Tuesday 18 March
* First thing in the morning: I bring my wife and kids to the Taiwan Immigration Agency and get their certificates.
* Mid-Morning: As expected, Thailand replies wanting these certificates. I upload them immediately and resubmit all dependent applications.
I currently hold an ED plus Visa, and my husband and baby currently have Non-O Visas (as dependents on my visa). According to the new rules, my ED plus Visa can be converted to another visa within Thailand.
My question is:
If I get a Non-B Visa, can my husband and baby do an in-country conversion from one Non-O to another Non-O (linked to my Non-B), or will they have to leave Thailand?
If conversion is not possible within country can they come on tourist visa and then convert to new non-o
Hi, my husband and I plan to retire to Bangkok in July 2025. We are currently retired and have combined monthly income of over 300,000 baht. Moving with us are our 32 year old daughter and grandson who will turn 4 in July. Is te 65,000 baht per person and can our daughter and grandson go on the same visa as us?
Hi, I just got my DTV, that I applied for when I was in Spain last month, but was granted when I arrived back in the island.
I understand I need to go to a Visa run to stamp it.
My question is: how to apply for the DTV3 for my family? I asked the Spanish Embassy, but if we are not in Spain anymore, they can't help. I also talked with visa agents and the immigration office and they don't have it clear.
Quick question, do I need to get my DTV application approved before submitting my dependent family members applications? Or all at once? (Applying in Penang)
