Only received a 30 day exemption stamp at Padang Besar. Has this happened to anyone else?

I will be retiring to Krabi in July. Can anyone recommend an area in Krabi where I can live close enough to access to street food but still have a place that feels like I am living immersed in nature.

Does anyone know if having a Soft Power Muay Thai DTV is it ok to travel around Thailand to train at any gym other than the gym used in the application? Or is this not checked at all at the moment if only extending by doing border bounces?

I’m currently in Vietnam and will applie for the DTV Visa. I’ll be flying to Germany soon for about three months, and the Muay Thai school I’m in contact with recommended applying for the visa here in Vietnam.

If my application gets approved while I’m still here, how much time do I have to actually enter Thailand before the visa becomes invalid? Is there any limit?

Hello I have a question regarding police clearance certificate.

I was dismissed from the school and when I ask about my visa status, they don’t give clear answer. I am planning to leave Thailand this week. And I need police clearance certificate for my another country visa.

I want to know if my visa is canceled and I have been overstay, is there any affect on my police clearance certificate. Do they recheck my visa status?

Hi! I’m curious, is anyone else visiting Bali while awaiting their Visa’s being approved, experiencing an un-usually long delay, keeping you in Bali way longer than you planned for? I had an anonymous member leave a comment on my post, saying that they were having this issue just like me. If there’s an issue with immigrations approving Visa’s in Bali/Indonesia, I want to know. People have a right to know, before they come to here in the 1st place.

Same-sex marriage glitch

I’ve been on a retirement visa for 6 years, and living with my same-sex Thai partner.

When it became legal in January, we got married. So I assumed that meant I could get an extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national.

But it turns out that the Immigration office in Chiang Mai (and elsewhere?) doesn’t agree—they refuse to accept my application, according to two reputable visa agencies.

Any explanation? Workaround? I let my savings go down below 600k on the assumption that I’d only need 400k for the next extension, so now getting my retirement extension looks problematical.
