I am doing an ED visa here in Thailand and I wish to stamp it in a Thai Embassa in a different country. I am asking for advice from people who have done this in:
* Bali, Indonesia
* Singapore
I would like to know how long it took and how much it cost. The paperwork will be done by my Muay Thai school. I've also emailed the embassy already however any advice is welcome!
Hello everyone, does anyone know how I can prove my location to the embassy if I enter Bali using an e-visa and go through the automated immigration gate without a passport entry stamp, while applying for a DTV in Jakarta? Or would a visa on arrival be a better option?
Hey - was wondering if anyone has advice on applying from Bali, since I have a free place to stay (also not sure about the document requiring proof of location, would have the Visa on Arrival but not hotel booking). Was told you could apply online from there, but also there was a chance that you might be called for an interview, in which you would have to fly to Jakarta. So was just wondering if I should take the safe route and just fly to Jakarta or if there was a good chance of having no issues applying from Bali.
I am puzzled, so I would be grateful if anyone can help.
I am a Czech citizen, but I work in Germany. I plan to apply for DTV of course, but I am currently in Vietnam, then I go to Bali and then we would like to stay in Thailand.
At which embassy in this case should I apply? Does it matter which country you are arriving in Thailand from (For example I would be coming from Bali) or does it have to be Vietnam, if I am in Vietnam now?
Or alternatively, should I just apply at the German embassy?
Thanks in advance for helpful advice. I want to spend < 180 days a year in Phuket and I’m looking for recommendations on interesting places to spend time outside Thailand that will not break the bank for the other 180 + days.
What specific places/locations would you personally recommend that I may not know or have thought about? So far I’ve focussed on Saigon and Philippines (Cebu, Palawan).
Any bargain places with good food, beaches, nature & bars that are reasonably priced, easily accessible? And yes I have googled and thought about this a lot and am now calling on our collective wisdom.
Thanks! KO
By the way the pic is Moalboal, Cebu Island, Philippines. Nice spot, a bit long to get there…..
