TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have only overstayed your visa by 5 days and have paid the associated fine, it is generally not expected to cause issues when you return from Singapore. The consensus among users is that a single overstay, especially if it has been resolved by paying the fine, typically should not impact your ability to re-enter Thailand. However, individual circumstances and past immigration history could be considered, so it's advisable to be aware of your entry record.

you still have to pay the overstay fine even if she was to go get an extension so what would be the point in that? Cost less to do it at airport and just pay the 2500 fine
Thank you for the info! I did try to make it before overstaying but went to the wrong place (immigration detention center) that was on a Friday, then Monday was a Thai holiday 🤦🏽♀️
no, but they can ask to see you have that amount in cash when returning. You will pay 2500 baht when you leave, 500 baht per day of overstay. It's really not a good idea to overstay for future reference, if the police come across you on overstay you will normally be deported, but just a fine if you reach the airport
if your questioned be polite dress well have ฿20,000 in cash where your living an inward ticket within 60 days and maintain you are here for tourism purposes.
