Question. I am visiting Bangkok in January for 51 days from USA. Just received yesterday my 60 day eVisa that I applied for that trip. I arrived today in Bangkok for 2 weeks (until Dec 4) with the plan to get a 30 day tourist exemption. Immigration officer at airport would only use the 60 day eVisa that was already in the system to grant entry. It is good until Jan 19, but I will be leaving for US on Dec. 4 and coming back on Jan. 10. By leaving Thailand, I believe that completes the eVisa. Do I now need to apply for another 60 day tourist eVisa for my January trip or is there an easier solution?

Hi, I applied for my O visa while abroad and it was received via the e-visa system, but only after my flight into Thailand. I ended up entering on a normal 30 day exemption as I needed to take the flight at that time. Now I find myself with an e-visa (non immigrant O) still valid and in date. Does anyone know if this can be activated by immigration without leaving and re-entering the country with it? I think I already know the answer but I thought it was worth asking 😓 Thank you 🙏

Hi guys,

Thanks for accepting me to the group and for such a helpful site. Apologies if this scenario has been dealt with previously…

My husband and I are UK citizens and arrived on the 30 day exemption visa on 5th April. Our circumstances have now changed and we’re now able (visa permitting) to continue travelling in Thailand until July. Therefore we’d ideally like to extend for up to three months.

We’ve started looking at whether it’s possible to do this on line but we’re not getting very far. The theme of the posts I’ve read on here seem to suggest the immigration office being best but I’d really appreciate any information you’re able to share please on how to navigate this.

Specifically:

- can we extend for three months in one go or does it need to be in 30 day chucks (and if only 30 day chunks, are we able to do that more than once)

- do we need to have our departing flights booked

- do we need to have proof of accommodation for the duration (which would be difficult given our intention to travel around)

Many thanks in advance 😊

Morning,

a friend just arrived with a 30 day exemption. At home in Canada she applied for a longer tourist visa, a process that took so long she had to take her flight without a visa.

Now she asks what are the possibilities for her to get extensions or a proper visa. Within Thailand or a visit to a neighbouring country.

Thanks

Looking to spend up to 12 months in Thailand, travelling from Australia in March 2022. Would I be better to come into Thailand on the standard 30-day Exemption and then extend to 60 days while there OR apply for the 60-day TR visa in Australia and extend for 30 days while in Thailand?

Also, I believe you can only apply for an Education visa now while in Thailand. Are they difficult to get and how long do they give you?

My other option is to apply for the 90-day (2 x extensions) STV visa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
