Hi! I’m curious, is anyone else visiting Bali while awaiting their Visa’s being approved, experiencing an un-usually long delay, keeping you in Bali way longer than you planned for? I had an anonymous member leave a comment on my post, saying that they were having this issue just like me. If there’s an issue with immigrations approving Visa’s in Bali/Indonesia, I want to know. People have a right to know, before they come to here in the 1st place.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation centers around the experiences of expats in Bali regarding delays in visa approvals. The original poster expresses concerns about unusually long wait times for their visa application, seeking confirmation if others are facing similar issues. Multiple comments reveal that many expats have experienced delays due to recent national holidays in Thailand and Indonesia, with some noting that the standard processing timeframe may be extended if additional documentation is requested. Many contributors encourage patience and understanding of the lengthy processes involved.
There have been some national holidays both Thai and Indonesian. I think that’s also a reason why it takes a little longer.
I applied on the 30th April and on it has been on pending approval since the 6th May. Hoping it will be approved next week, as I also have to apply for my kids as dependents
Look at the Embassy website for the average processing time for visa’s, and remember if additional documents are necessary, the clock may start over from 0.
The Thai Embassy have no benefit of getting you to stay and use your money other than in Thailand.
Honest to God, you submitted 11 days ago, there's 10 working days processing and you're already characterizing it as an unusually long time. Take a valium.
Be patient. currently there are many holidays. we all have the same issue currently in Jakarta. we are all waiting. If additional documents are requested the clock resets, so it seems. Just wait. In worst case scenario extend your stay/stay permit in indonasia.
Most things have teething problems after they are incepted/introduced
From reading many posts and comments for a few months, I think an addition to the online form would greatly benefit some people. Let me know what you think of my idea . . .
At the end of the form, there should be a box you can tick or leave blank depending on you as a person
Please check this box if you are an entitled princess and believe your application should be completed within a timeframe you demand ✅
They state 10 working days excluding the date of submission but there's been a lot of holidays recently so they probably have a bit of a backlog. And if they request additional documentation that can also extend the time, I don't know by how much in that embassy but some completely reset the clock, others state an additional 5 days
I understand your frustration, but ultimately you have no choice but to wait. You have decided to spend a "holiday" waiting time in Bali and not in Jakarta. If you were in Jakarta now, you could simply go to the consulate and ask about the status of your visa application. The uncertainty is the price you have to pay now
exactly l was about to post the same. A right to know. You apply and wait. If you don't want to wait you are free ti go anytime. This DTV has become so popular the embassies cannot keep up with the processing it is not their fault.
