Hello all you wonderful people 😊

I’m curious if anyone here could share their experiences: how long did it take for your tourist eVisa to be approved after submitting your application? Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I am from the Bahamas and applying through the Ottawa (Canada) embassy on the evisa site :)

Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before but in regards to DTV visa and the 500k baht bank balance.

I’ve seen conflicting answers to how long needs to show in your bank account. Varying between just current balance up to 6 months and also that it depends on which country you’re visiting the embassy in.

Can anyone help on this?

I'm from the US. I'm in Hanoi and my visa only allows me here for 12 days. I didn't realize they would restrict my visa days here to what I listed on the vietnam evisa application instead of giving me a flat 90 days.

That said, should I fly to Cambodia and apply for a new Vietnam Evisa while I wait for my DTV? I dont think I'm allowed to extend my Vietnam evisa here even though it's short. I applied for DTV March 4th and submitted additional info on March 6th. Now it's been pending. Im worried they might request an interview while Im waiting for a new Vietnam visa.

DTV APPROVED:

Applied: Feb 18 (3am) online / Cambodia

Approved: March 4 (6:30pm)

• Did the basic files for the online application.

• 1 month cover page of bank statement.

• No additional documents required.

Arrived at Don Mueang - No questions or issues. Easy Breezy.

Thank you to the group for the information (and emotional support). Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone, quick question for the group—specifically for those with experience submitting a DTV application in Hanoi.

How long did you have to wait for the certificate there after uploading all documents and paying the fee? Status update changed to "Processing Pending Approval" within 24 hours. Based on your experience, how much longer did you have to wait for the final decision after that?

Thanks!

I've been having some challenges this week applying for the DTV in Ho Chi Minh City.

Yesterday they asked for "Provide passport FULL BOOK including EMPTY PAGES." So I took a picture of every single page in my passport, and uploaded them one by one (since the site doesn't allow multiple uploads. Today they respond: "Read our request CAREFULLY before submit. Provide passport FULL BOOK from page 1 to 52. If no, your visa application will be REJECT." No information on what was wrong / missing.

Yesterday they asked for "Provide your CV/ Portfolio." Well I'm a software engineer and I mostly work on backend projects which are hard to put into a portfolio. So I uploaded my Resume detailing my 25 years of industry experience as well as a public presentations I've given, screenshots from applications I'm working on, and a patent application (with my name on in) from a previous employer years ago. Today they respond with: "Provide "YOUR" CV/ portfolio. If no, your visa application will be REJECT."

Has anyone experienced something similar? It sounds like I only get one more shot at this before they reject my application.

Hello, I have saved a few posts about switching from a METV to DTV but when I check back they've been deleted. I apologize if this answer has already been asked and answered elsewhere.

I have seen mixed reports about applying for the DTV while being on a METV. Is it actually possible to cancel a METV if the embassy asks? Specifically, does Hanoi require this before issuing a DTV? I currently have a METV that does not expire until July 2025 but would like to apply for the DTV in April if it is possible. Thank you šŸ™

"Where can I get an Affidavit of Guarantee if my foreign live-in partner is traveling with me from the Philippines to Thailand for a vacation?"

And what are the necessary requirements?

Our flight will be on next month na..

"I hope someone can answer."
