I'm on DTV, opened an account with Bangkok Bank without an issue with the help of an agent.

I entered Thailand in December on DTV, I'm an Aussie as well, applied for DTV out of Sydney and arrived in DMK. No problems, no questions asked, straight through. The immigration officer did hit up the guy before me asking how ling his stay would be. Maybe you're just unlucky and you were the 'random' person they'd scrutinize.

You need to use a tool similar to PDF24 tools to merge your individual PDFs into a single file. Yeah it's a bit of a pain, but it's gotta be done.

I'm very surprised that it turned around so quick. There was another guy yesterday posted he got the DTV from Sydney but it took him 2 (or close to 2) weeks.

There's a great set of tools available to join all those individual PDF files into a single larger file, and it if get's too large compress the file so it's accepted by the eVisa system. The tools are called PDF24 | Free PDF Converter | PDF Converter kostenlos available online or downloadable set of tools if you're not comfortable uploading documents to their website.
