Hi all. I've got a couple of question on completing the TM47 for the 90 day report.

1 The written at question, I've got no idea what to put here

2 Entered Thailand on (By)

3 Tambol and Amphur

Also, I'd like to confirm what documentation is needed for the 90 day. the TM47 itself (obviously), Passport, and from memory I think there was 1 other piece of documentation that was needed but it escapes me now.

I've added an attachment highlighting the areas on the TM47 that my questions relate to.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post is about completing the TM47 form for a 90-day report required for expats living in Thailand. The author has questions about specific fields in the form, including what to write under 'written at', how to indicate the entry method to Thailand, and details about the Tambol and Amphur. The discussion highlights common mistakes and advice from community members on the essential documentation needed, recommending the TM30 form along with the passport and TM47. Various comments reflect the challenges of navigating Thai bureaucracy, the importance of being proactive in gathering information, and share personal experiences related to the 90-day reporting process.

Quick shout out to those who gave positive, helpful and constructive answers and advice, thank you! I hope my question helps others going forward.

As for the haters . . . well haters gotta hate! I hope your negative internet trolling brightens your otherwise pathetic, sad, sorry and lonely life. For some I think it's clear that you should consider that one-way ticket back to your country of origin!

Ask your landlord for a copy of the tm30 they filed when you moved in

Then copy the address from tm30 to tm47

A 90 day report is one of easiest to do in this country. Some self initiative in order.

self initiative is needed? What do you think I'm doing! All I'm trying to do is dot my i's and cross my tees for a drama free first/initial 90 day. Once this one is done I will be armed with everything I need to know for future reports!

Tambol and Amphor aren't English words. And it isn't clear what they want under "By".

Hmm… 90 days in Thailand already and you don’t know your address…

It was among the first things I asked when I arrived in Thailand.

Different people, different priorities, so it seems. 😉

Well in Thailand addresses can be very complicated without logic. I have been given 3 different addresses to my condo depending the source:Rental agreement, condo office, google...😃

I am aware of that. It’s different in almost every country.

In Netherlands we have different postal codes for each side of the road, and long roads can have multiple codes for each side.

If I would address a package as NL2135ER44 then that fully identifies my former address (it’s even searchable in internet).

In USA you can’t address without mentioning the state because there are multiple cities of the same name across states.

IMHO Being only half aware of differences between countries would trigger at least some curiosity.

Now the real question is whether certain people are aware that a foreign country might be different from their own. I’d expect someone who lives 90 days in a new country to have some of that awareness.

But seeing the responses here it seems like I set the standards too high. For which I apologize.

Peter, I have visited your beautiful country, and was amazed at your infrastructure, your people’s civility, and the general efficiency in which everything worked. Yes, I can honestly say that you might want to “dumb it down” for the rest of us. Lol.

We are all on this journey together, and we all come upon certain realizations at different rates than others, IMHO.

well, there are people out here who plan to move to Thailand soon, and are COMPLETELY ignorant of these very same things he is asking of the group. How is it in any way helpful to be sardonic? I, for one, very much appreciate the members who are nonjudgmental and just answer his questions.

So, mister “Helpful”. How is it in any way helpful to insult someone with a pathetic name-joke?

“Plan to move soon” is quite different from “I am here already 90 days, but I don’t know where I live.” Doh!

Just how is it insulting to use the moniker he identifies with on Facebook? Maybe that is his name, maybe a nickname, maybe a pseudonym behind which to safely launch insults at members of this group.

Last I checked, this group was “Thailand Visa ADVICE”… People are genuinely, openly seeking help with their visa questions. Why be rude?

Dude, you might want to use the word “unaware” instead of judging people to be “COMPLETELY ignorant” because you being judgmental like this makes you come across as a hypocrite. 🤭

unaware might be a better word, but ignorant also means , lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about a particular thing: it does not have to be negative . If could be said you are ignorant about the definition of ignorant
