I am working on a non-o visa (retirement). I am currently in Vietnam. Should I request the non-o visa in Vietnam or enter Thailand with a tourist visa and convert it to non-o. I am under the impression of I do inside of Thailand, I end up with more time on the visa (convert tourist visa to non-o gives me 90 days then ask for 1 year extension as opposed to getting 1 year from Vietnam). Any help would be appreciated

Hi all, we're arriving in Chiang Mai soon, and we're going to be renting a car for a month or two, but after, we're hoping to buy a car and insure within Thailand. I've read online that to register a car officially, you need a "residency permit"... is the DTV enough for this, or is owning a car on a DTV not possible? Thanks.

I'd like to ask for information. My brother is a Norwegian citizen but intends to apply for a DTV visa in Denmark. The time it takes to deposit 500,000 baht into the account is only one month. My question is, do I have to be a Danish citizen or a resident of Denmark in order to apply for a DTV visa to enter Thailand?

Is this information correct? To apply for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) to travel from Denmark to Thailand, you do not need to have Danish citizenship. You can apply for this visa if you meet certain criteria, such as being at least 20 years old, having sufficient funds to cover your fees and residence expenses, and having proof of employment with a registered company.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever done a visa run with their pet, and what the experience was like.

I’m on a METV and planning a short trip around mid–late November (haven’t decided on the destination yet). I’ll be traveling with my small dog (5 lbs, in-cabin only), and I’m trying to understand what the process looks like in terms of paperwork, airlines, and re-entering Thailand smoothly with her. Leaving her with a sitter would only be a last resort.

Any insights, tips, or advice from those who’ve done this would be really appreciated!

I am new to the group and would like to introduce myself. My name is Rob Pegues, from Brooklyn, NY. I will be traveling to Thailand for the first time, and would like to know specifically what information (i.e. Visa requirements, etc.) I need to complete prior to booking my trip? How does that process work as a US Citizen.

Applied for a non imm o visa from the London Embassy for an application for a retirement visa. Roughly how long do they take to get back to you?

I opened a BB account about 2 years ago with the help of an agent. My mobile app was suspended about 2 months ago because the Sim which I purchased at the airport doesn't seem to be registered in my name.

My question is will the bank just block you from using mobile banking app or do they actually just close your account after 30 days? The message on the app just said it was blocked but I don't remember seeing anything about the account being closed if I didn't correct the problem. The challenge is I'm living overseas and won't be back to Thailand for at least another 18 months.
