I read this group everyday…. Does the initial non-o retirement visa has mininium stay days in Thai that require to get the extension of 1 year visa? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi I have just been approved for a LTR visa I am wondering if anyone has information regarding minimum stay in Thailand requirements if any I plan on spending up to 6 months a year in Thailand the rest of the year in NZ tia

Is there a minimum period of time that must be spent in Thailand on a one year retirement visa to be able to renew it the following year(s)?

I visit Thailand 2-3 times a year staying a couple of months each time.

I realise that I can probably continue to come in and out on visa exemptions and extensions as I have been, but the peace of mind of a retirement visa w/- multiple reentry is attractive.

Thanks for letting me join. This may be a stupid question but if I don’t ask it I’ll never know. I’m on a retirement visa and been living in Thailand for nearly three years. I return home to Australia twice to three times a year for about a week each time. I have a multiple entry stamp just in case I need to leave Thailand more than three times a year...it’s potentially cheaper that way. I’m seeking advice as to whether there is a minimum time I must stay in Thailand during my visas 12 month validity period. Put simply, I plan to spend six to nine months in Australia and the remainder of the year in Thailand. I’ll rent condo or something during my stay in Thailand. I think I’ll be okay, but I’d like any advice relating to problems or associated pit falls I may not be aware of. Thanks.
