I just spent 5 days in Thaïland, if i come back next month on exempt visa ( i am french) so i will spend 60 days + 30 days extension, can i do a visa-run after that ?

Maybe spend 1 week outside of Thaïland and back is more safe ?

Or is better to apply for a tourist visa in Vientiane ?

Before that, i was not in Thaïland for 2 years.

Also, i will renew my passport, but they will still know when i been Thaïland, right ?

I’m starting my DTV application. And I have a few questions

You must have the soft power activity approved and enrolled in to be able to apply?

Is there a list of pre approved courses to choose from? Or do you just apply to any course you like that’s 6+months and hope it’s accepted?

I saw they allow sports training, cooking classes and music festivals but I’m not sure where I find the courses to apply for (as I’m unsure if they need to be from a preapproved DTV list of courses)

We will be in Phuket ( chalong) so any help or leads would be fantastic

Super inconvenient issue I’m experiencing now is that with my Thai bank closed down, I’m not able to scan to pay for anything. So the worst pickle this is getting me into is trying to exit car parks! Because a LOT of them / nearly all of them at the shops have no option to pay cash or card 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 is there some type of way around this that anyone’s come across yet? Thank you 🙏

My next border run is coming up. Planning to fly to Vietnam for a week. What's your current experience re-entering to Bangkok? Were you asked for documents or confirmation of your bank balance?

An alternative would be to cross the border into Laos at Nakhon Phanom. Does anyone have experience with this?

Question! If I book a 1 month unlimited class, do you think I can be granted a DTV Visa? Is it risky?

Looking for opinions here. I have a kasikornbank account. I work online with DTV visa and the money gets paid into my Kasikorn account. I don't have a bank account in my own country because it was closed a few years ago due to inactivity...

So with all this stuff happening about bank accounts being closed if you don't have a long term visa, I'm a bit worried. But I've heard it's only for bank accounts opened since 2023. Is that true? Will they later look at older accounts too? I've had my Kasikorn account since around 2010, but can't remember what visa I had when I opened it. I think it might have been a tourist visa lol

So I'm wondering, should I just ditch the DTV visa, which I went through great lengths to obtain just two months ago, and get a long term visa before other banks (like Kasikorn) start implementing the same policies AND looking at older accounts?

I have a Thai son so I can get Non O visa, but it would mean another trip out of the country, putting 400k back in the bank etc. I'd rather not do that, but I don't wanna be un-banked...
