What is the process for certifying a British passport?

2 years ago I was told to go to the British Embassy. I believe this is no longer possible.

It has to be done by Apostille?

I am in UK at the moment travel to stay with my wife in Udon Thani.

What is the process if in UK, I have differing advice from various sources.

DTV Visa for Retired Canadian – Is It Really Possible?

I’m a Canadian retiree (from Québec) and I’m currently looking into the new Destination Thailand Visa (DTV).

Some agencies told me it is *very easy* for a retiree like me to obtain this visa, but others say it’s *not possible* since the DTV is not meant for retirees. I would really appreciate hearing from people with first-hand experience.

* My profile: fully retired, no financial issues (very high investment income and bank assets, more than enough to qualify for any financial requirement).

* My goal: to stay in Thailand for several months every year without the hassle of making large deposits in a Thai bank like the O-A/O-X retirement visas require.

Here are my main questions:

1. Is the DTV visa truly possible for a retiree (50+, Canadian passport)?

2. Can I apply directly through the embassy/consulate myself, or do I absolutely need to go through an agency?

3. If you recommend using an agency, which reliable one would you suggest?

4. If I can apply on my own, what documents do I need to prepare (income proof, bank statements, insurance, proof of “activity” for DTV, etc.)?

5. Has anyone here already obtained a DTV as a retiree and could share their real experience?

Thank you very much for your advice! 🙏

Someone was talking about some embassies can make a note in your profile when they deny your application.

How can i check if there is a negative note in my profile surrounding my last DTV application? And who can help me remote that note??

Can someone confirm whether or not the following email that I recieved from a Thai visa agent is true:?

*"It is an option whether you choose to show your savings of 800,000 THB or a monthly income of 65,000 THB. You only need to meet one of these requirements, not both."*

*"For American citizens, the only option is to deposit 800,000 THB, as the Royal Thai Embassy in your country no longer provides income certification, and the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok does not verify income either."*

So, they're saying the monthly deposit of 65,000 THB does not apply to American citizens.

Thank you.

Hello all.

So I'm an American in the Bangkok area and I'm coming up on my 60 days and want to get a 30 day extension. So I'm seeing the forms I think I need to fill out but am unsure if the condo where I'm staying should provide any info on where I'm staying or if i need to fill out something myself.

I know I need a passport photo and a copy of my passport to provide to immigration.

I was hoping that someone who's done this could give me a little guidance.

I would appreciate any help.

‼️ SYDNEY ONLY ‼️ this may not be useful for any other consulates

I thought I’ll come here to share my experience with fellow Sydney-siders, very smooth experience.

I got a soft power DTV (cooking class)

it worked well.

I applied Thurday 11th at night, got approved Monday 22nd (today) at 10:30am

What I provided:

Over 25k in a bank statement, didn’t have to be in the account for 3 months or anything like that.

Proof of class by partnered DTV class, I only got the 6 month option.

All the details put in correctly.

Professional digital passport photo.

That’s literally it.

Hope this helps and goodluck

I’m currently applying for a DTV visa from Indonesia. I have two questions

The place I’m staying is direct from the owner so my plan was to just book a hostel for 2 weeks and use that as my place of “accommodation” as there is an obvious paper trail by way of receipt on booking.com, is this okay?

My second question is regarding the 500k THB. I have an instant access account with over the specified amount that I haven’t touched in a year. Nothing goes into this account and only really interest gets withdrawn, is this okay as proof of funds? To give context I am applying for workcation, should I have transferred these funds into the same account my company pays me into or can I

a.

Just upload the instant access account with the funds

B. Upload both accounts of me getting paid by the company into one account and the 500k+ in the other account

C. Transfer the funds into the account I pay myself in and apply in a few months?

Thanks
