‼️ SYDNEY ONLY ‼️ this may not be useful for any other consulates
I thought I’ll come here to share my experience with fellow Sydney-siders, very smooth experience.
I got a soft power DTV (cooking class)
it worked well.
I applied Thurday 11th at night, got approved Monday 22nd (today) at 10:30am
What I provided:
Over 25k in a bank statement, didn’t have to be in the account for 3 months or anything like that.
Proof of class by partnered DTV class, I only got the 6 month option.
All the details put in correctly.
Professional digital passport photo.
That’s literally it.
Hope this helps and goodluck

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared a positive experience applying for a DTV visa (for cooking classes) at the Sydney consulate, highlighting the quick approval process. They submitted a bank statement showing over 25,000 AUD, proof of enrollment in the DTV class, and a professional passport photo. Comments included inquiries about the specific cooking classes, questions regarding the applicant's nationality, and advice about printing the visa approval email for travel.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
