Does a visa renewal (Retirement) reset the time clock on the due date of your next 90 day report?

Let's say my next 90 day report is due in November, but I renew my O visa in October. Would I still need to do the 90-day report in November or would it be pushed to January?

Hi, my DTV visa was approved in HCMC on first try. Quite surprised as I am in my early 20s (M) but I’d say I really wrote a 10/10 cover letter communicating my work and future plans very well. I applied under the soft power category.

My girlfriend is a Chinese citizen (29F) and she got rejected twice in HCMC and Hanoi. Her application is quite strong with a strong stock portfolio and real estate in China besides the 500k baht requirement. She also had recurring income. Both of us used the same Muay Thai school but only she got rejected.

Desperately looking for any advice on what our next steps should be? What embassy should she re-apply from as a Chinese citizen? Also, open to chat with any lawyers if you have recommendations.

Help

I'm planning to re-enter with a DTV remote worker in November, I need to know what things will be checked again in the immigration?

Do I need a bank confirmation letter for 500,000 baht?

or bank statement or what?

Is the 180 day per year tax residency treshold limited to calendar year? So for example, I can stay 12 consecutive months without triggering additional tax implications, as long as they're not in the same calendar year (like July to July)?

I'll be speaking with a thai accountant when I get there. And I wouldn't mind paying extra taxes as long as they wouldn't be as high as in my home country. I am paying approx. 600€ of social contributions + 4% flat rate tax. I simply cant afford to pay ~2k+ eur just in taxes and social contributions, but could afford to fork out a few houndred extra if that means I don't have to move around.

And no, I can't get out of paying taxes at home on this visa - it would trigger double tax residency.

Any info on this?

Thank you.

Hello I’m wondering how long does it normally take to get a response back from the Ho Chi Minh embassy for additional documents request or interview if needed. I have submitted the application on the 18th sep.

After years of Thailand elite, then retirement extensions, finances dictate I switch to an extension based on marriage. I realise it's pretty onerous but doable. My question for those who do it regularly.... is all the paperwork, photos, hand drawn map, kor ror 2 etc supposed to be renewed EVERY year?
