Hello everyone! I just would like to know how the DTV works, I got it is for 180 days, but didnt understand really well.

I got the DTV and got 180 days in the first arrival, stayed for a month and did a trip to Japan, when I cameback I got a new stamp with more 180 days.

I saw before it would need to leave the country every 180 days, but if everytime I go travel abroad I get new 180 days, how it works, will I need to renew something at immigration?

Thank you so much!

My husband and I are considering moving to Thailand, but we have never been. Has anyone successfully left the US and moved to Thailand without ever visiting? Please share your experience

Hello, I entered Thailand on my dtv visa for the first time almost 90 days ago. I also completed the new Thailand Arrival Card just prior to entering.

Is the digital TM 47 form found on the “Notification of Staying in the Kingdom over 90 days (Online)” portal, all I need to do at the 90 day mark? Is anything else required for 90 day reporting in regards to both the arrival card and my dtv visa?

Hey guys,

I’m planning to go to Hanoi, Vietnam or Bali, Indonesia in two weeks to apply for a Muay Thai DTV. Today, I got in touch with a Muay Thai gym in Chiang Mai, and they told me that for the DTV application, not only do you need a bank balance of at least 500,000 THB, but it also has to have been maintained for at least three months.

This caught me off guard because just a month ago, they said holding it for one month was enough. So I’d really appreciate some advice from anyone who has successfully applied for the DTV in Hanoi or Bali.

Should I go ahead and try applying in Hanoi or Bali, or should I wait another two months until my bank balance meets the three-month requirement?

Thanks in advance!

I have a non visa question

Ok so I just deposited a bit of money in my Bank of Bangkok account only to find out it's been frozen. They are asking for a swift verification from my bank in America or embassy... I have not a clue what that is or what to do. Don't even understand why they need anything from my American bank. Any help would be appreciated...thanks

There was some talk that visa exempt for Australians was to be reduced from 60 to 30 days. I’ve heard nothing confirming this - is this still likely tk happen?
