If I arrive in Thailand on DTV & stay 60 days then come back a week later and stay another 60 days do I have to do a 90 day report ? Or is it for 90 days continuously ?

For those who have received a DVT going the cooking route, has anyone had success with a school in Bangkok apart from the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy?

I thought I had initially seen courses in the $500 range that qualified for DVT, but now they’re over $1,000.

Yes, $1,000 is still a bargain for a 5 year visa. But there’s also the possibility that we’ll have to reup every 6 months, and leave the country as well. Those costs would certainly add up over 5 years.

Parents who applied for the Visa for their children...

Our 2 year old son clearly doesn't have proof of funds, or access to our bank accounts, was this an issue when you started the visa process?

How did you work around this?

I received my DTV Visa today from the Vancouver Thai consulate, very helpful office and friendly staff!!! I immediately applied for my wife under my DTV Visa. I am just wondering if we are supposed to print the Visa out (hard copy), or use a cell phone or email digital copy at the BKK Airport? For those that are wondering, I originally applied as a remote worker (digital nomad), but that was declined, it was most likely my fault, but the consulate was very helpful and changed my category to "Soft Power", since I already had a dentist in Hua Hin, and need a lot of work done, I just got them to send me a letter stating my dental work needed, I already have a relationship with the dentist, so it was very straight forward, then everything was approved easily, now I am waiting for my wife's DTV Visa to be approved, I submitted our marriage certificate, bank account information in my wife's name, wife's passport bio data page, recent photo, and proof of Canadian address. This group has been very helpful, I hope I can help some of you here by sharing , any questions, just ask

What happens if I quit my job after arriving in Thailand? Any idea if they would randomly ask for updated documents during my 180 day border runs

I know that the visa is not accepted for any type of work. Who received the visa and would share his/hers occupation?

Has anyone received a work visa through the new “e-visa” process for Thailand?

It sounds as if you don’t need to *physically* go to a Royal Thai Consulate-General and everything comes via email, but I want to make sure that’s true.

I’m an American wondering if I can go to Thailand now, arrive with a “tourist visa” and change to the work visa after I’ve arrived.

Thanks!
