I've been applying from the UK for a Muay Thai DTV and have been asked to go to the Embassy for an interview. Has anyone had this experience? All my documents are in place and everything was sent to them as requested.
I’ve tried to search so apologies if this has been answered previously… I have full 6 months bank statements and payslips etc but the 500k I’ve only had in full for the last month ! Will this be ok to submit? Trying to weigh up if best to apply soon or wait 2/3 months ! Thank you 🙏🏼
Looking to apply via soft power Muay Thai (no income but have the proof of funds needed) - I'm going back to the UK from Bangkok for 3 weeks as it's my home country, so might aswell apply for the DTV from there, as I've only seen good things about applying with the London embassy on this group.
Does anyone have any tips on what to include apart from the standard proof of 500k, UK address, recent photo, muay Thai course registration and proof? Do they ask for any more than this as extra docs? Anyone had a tough time getting it from the UK?
(Arrived in BKK at the end of Dec and used 1 visa exemption and just extended it a few weeks ago)
I've been asked for additional documents for the DTV by the UK embassy. It might be difficult to provide exactly what they've asked for. Has anyone been in a similar situation and been able to communicate with them by email? I'd be grateful to know the address if that was the case.
Soft power - tiger eye. I used ilovepdf to merge the files into 1 pdf.
3 months bank statement
2 hours after i paid they asked for proof of flights and a better passport photo. I booked a fight and sent the pdf. I sent a selfie against a white wall and gf used an app to make the background white.
When i started my application I must have already had a try in Jan because there was a pending application from the 28th of Jan. Perhaps they approved my application faster as they might have thought in was waiting almost 1 month.
I have just received my DTV for remote working approval. This group has provided some amazing reassurance and information for my application. So please any questions pop them in.
19.02 (Wednesday) I applied to the London Embassy online.
I submitted:
* Motivation letter, saying I have visited many times and love the culture/country. I wish to visit more Thai islands.
* Fairly detailed portfolio, with evidence of work documents.
* invoices
* Driving license
* A statement of 500,000 baht, the money had only been in the account 10 days with little transactions on the account. The bank statement was also one from the bank branch with a bank manager stamp as I couldn't wait for an updated one by mail.
* Additionally a separate ISA account balance
* Proof of accommodation, and rental contract
* Linkedin profile, UpWork profile
Afternoon of the 19th request for documents:
* A letter explaining my job role and confirming that I will abide by Thai law and not work in Thailand. (My original motivation letter did include this, but I submitted another very clearly stating that I understand Thai law and the DTV working conditions)
* My recent Tax return
20th (Thursday) request for documents:
* A plane ticket to Thailand from London, United Kingdom
