VISA APPROVED!

Hanoi Embassy

Applied on Wednesday

Sent additional documents on Thursday.

Approved the next Wednesday.

Info that might help others:

I included bank statements from 4 banks: Bangkok Bank, Wells Fargo, Kbank (joint account) Kbank (personal account). Totals for all the bank was over 1 million for 3 months.

The additional documents requested were pay stubs, business license of the company I will work for and the passport/ID of the owner.

I included the pay stubs from my old job in Thailand which were reflected on my Thai bank accounts. I also included the invoices of some of my contract work which were reflected on my Wells Fargo account. My new boss's passport was expired, so I included that as well as their drivers license.

For the business registration I included a copy of their LLC, EIN registration, tax registration and Treasury department registration. Maybe a bit of overkill, but I had access to all those, so I sent everything.

No issues mentioned about my Thai accounts. I didn't send them my old work permit, no pages from my passport, nor my tax information from years of working in Thailand. I did have those ready if needed. All in all it was a smooth and quick experience, other than the angst!

Thanks for all your help here!

* EDIT*

Thank you all for your help and contributions !!! <3

About the beach part,

a city with lakes, waterfalls, would be amazing as well,

so the sea is not necessary.

*Muay Thai*

Hello everyone,

My goal is to train in Muay Thai in Thailand.

I'm asking for any help and guidance and information please.

I would like to train with the following preferences:

✅ 1. in a quiet city\town (doesn't have to be a big city)

✅ 2. Not touristy

✅ 3. With a recommended professional gym for beginners

✅ 4. Ideally with good internet infrastructure

✅ 5. Recommendation for where to live (booking guesthouse, Airbnb, other suggestions?)

✅ 6. Ideally with access to the beach and green nature, for some short hiking.

✅ 7. Any tips or bits of information, suggestions,

would be amazing and much appreciated.

Probably I missed some important details or made some mistakes😅

Please feel free to correct me.

Thanks a lot!!! 😄

Hi, has anyone else on a dtv lost their passport and had the embassy transfer over the visa to their new passport? My DTV was issued in London so I think my first step should be to contact them, any advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation please?

Edit: To be clear I lost my passport outside of Thailand and I'll want to re-enter on a brand new one, not in possession of the old passport only a photocopy of the data page.

Hi Members,

I have A DTV Visa. I intend to stay in Thailand approx 123 days.

I have an elderly mother who is 80 years old and relies on me as her carer.

I understand the spouse Visa is for a wife and Children under 20.

1 - Will they make any exception to allow me to sponsor a Elderly dependant parent if paperwork (Medical - birth certificate etc) is provided to show the dependancy.

2 - If this is not possible, and we apply for her own Soft Power DTV Visa, can anyone recommend a Thai cooking class Close to Pattaya who we can book with, Ideally a company that can provide the relevant paperwork for the Visa Application.

Any help would be appreciated, I just want to decide which is the best route to go down.

Many thanks

Jac
