Has anyone done the Thai DTV interview via video call?

I applied for the DTV through the Soft Power Muay Thai course, and my application has been stuck on “pending approval” for weeks.

I called the Thai consulate handling applications from my country (even though it’s not located here), and they said they’ll contact me soon to schedule a video call interview.

Just wondering has anyone done the interview online? What should I expect?

Hello,

I would appreciate anyone sharing their experience working with the THAI VISA CENTER to obtain a non-o visa. I am presently in Thailand on my 30 day tourist extension. I do not want to fly all the way back to my home country (USA), but would be happy to fly to any S.E. Asia location that has a Thai embassy that will allow me to apply for a non-o. Thank you for any thoughts you care to share.

Hello everyone,

I'm currently in Chiang Mai and have two months left on my Non-O retirement visa. Two months ago, I moved to a new condo, and my landlord provided me with a new TM30 already.

Do I need to take any action regarding my visa due to this change of address? My 90-day report is also due next week, and I'm wondering if not reporting my change of address before my 90-day reporting or Non-O renewal will cause any issues with the Chiang Mai office.

Thank you very much for your input!

DTV Visa Question, help 🙏

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long post but I feel like this is the best place to ask about DTV.

For context, I’m 19 years old with an Italian passport, and I’m planning to apply for the DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) at the Italian embassy once I turn 20. I know I can’t apply just yet, but I’m trying to gather all the info in advance so I can be fully prepared.

I’ve read that the requirements and strictness can vary a bit depending on the embassy, so I’m hoping someone here who has already obtained the DTV can offer some insights or advice. Right now, I’m considering three possible ways to apply:

1. Muay Thai option

I’ve been practicing Muay Thai at a high level since I was a kid, and I always train when I visit Thailand. I’d consider applying for the DTV through a gym, but here’s my concern: would training for just 3 month at a registered gym be enough to qualify?

I don’t want to be tied to a single place for too long, I’d prefer to train at different gyms throughout my stay. If I apply under this category, will immigration later check if I’m still actively training?

2. Freelancer (Fiverr)

I’ve been freelancing as a video editor on Fiverr since I was 15, with a solid portfolio and plenty of positive reviews. That said, it was always more of a side income rather than a full-time salary. I know the DTV requires 500,000 THB in a bank account, which is not a problem, but I’ve seen mixed info online about whether monthly income is also required. Does anyone know if it’s strictly necessary to show regular income?

3. Remote work / online business

Recently, I’ve started working on my own online business (clothing brand). The website is nearly ready (I’m still finalizing the code), and I have a verified Instagram page set up for it as well. I haven’t made any sales yet, but I’m confident it will start once the site launches. Again, the issue is that I currently don’t have a record of monthly income. Is that a deal-breaker?

So my big question is:

Which of these options seems the most realistic or safest for applying to the DTV, especially at the Italian embassy?

Any personal experiences or tips would be massively appreciated!

Thanks in advance everyone 🙏

Good day,

I am planning to have my bank statements translated for the DTV Soft Power Visa for Muay Thai. Since these documents need to be officially translated and certified, Google Translate is unfortunately not accepted. Does anyone know where I can have these PDF bank statements translated and certified at a reasonable cost?

Hi UK DTV holder here. Am currently registered as a sole trader with HMRC and am in contact with a Thai accountant to help me with my Thai taxes as I have been in the country for over 180 days. I pay myself into my UK bank account (as I don’t have a Thai account as per DTV) so wondering what my tax liability is with UK, I was planning to tell HMRC that I have left the country on my next tax return but want to make sure that’s the right thing to do. My next port of call is of course contacting a UK accountant but wanted to see if anyone here has any insight first. Thanks

Coucou! Just a quick question, when the statut of your application changed (like for exemple from pending documents check to pre approved), did you received an email or your have to check the website all the time ? :)
