Hello I have a question for others who are maybe in similar situations.

I’m living and working legally in Thailand with Non-B / work permit. I’m fiscally sponsored here by a foundation for a company based out of Europe and working remotely. Now that the DTV is an option, I can just get paid straight from my employer in Europe, which is great.

The challenge I’m faced with is that my Non B is running out and so I would like to do the DTV visa soon. At this time, *I’ll have a year-long contract with my company, but I will not have been paid directly by them yet.*

Has anyone applied for DTV having come from Non-B visa in Thailand? And based on remote employment?

Mainly I’m just worried that I see many have submitted portfolios, invoices, pay stubs etc. And if I do it soon, I won’t have that. Is it worth going for the DTV now or just wait another 3 months?

I am applying for a DTV in Taipei, I am currently living in Thailand. On their application form for permanent address do I put my Thailand address? I haven't lived in my home country (Australia) for a very long time so I don't have an address there

I’m confused about the 90 day check-in with the DTV visa.

1. Do you have to show a bank statement with the 500,000 THB in the bank when you check-in at 90 days?

2. Do you have to do a 90 check-in after every re-entry or once a year?

Thanks in advance for your help in clarifying

If I were to take out 1 million baht cash hypothetically ….let’s say and kept it in a safe in a house and then received DTV and lived of the 1 million baht (for two years let’s say)

Would I have to pay any tax?

I want to apply for DTV as l have a genuine work from anywhere job in Australia with an Australian employer and want to spend much more time in LOS. I go to Thailand to be with my Thai girlfriend and live in her home.

I have the required funds for the DTV in one bank account, but l do not transact from it as my pay goes to a different account.

Can any recent applicant advise as to whether in Oz they ask for proof of pay going into your account, or is the statement from my account with the required money parked in it all they need? I've got a letter from my employer, an employment contract from them stating I can work anywhere and have no problem with required money in the bank.

TIA

Is there a limit to the number of entries by land (from Cambodia)? My visa expires on 20.1.25 and in 2024 I will exceed the annual 180 days, does the count reset in a new year? 🙏🙏

hi - I have a non-b that expires jan 12th. I am going to vietnam for a week at that time. And planned to potentially re-enter Thailand with a tourist visa. I am considering applying for Ed visa when I return. Do I need to actively cancel my non-b - in order to re-enter and begin application for Ed Visa - or will it automatically expire and "cancel" on jan 12th? I ask because schools I have contacted keep saying I need to "cancel my non-b"... I assumed it will expire. And when I re-enter Thailand I will have a garden variety 60 day tourist visa. Any help welcome.. Thank you!!

If I enter Thailand on an ED visa for studying Thai language and am subsequently accepted into a master’s program at a University, is it possible to apply for the necessary visa changes without leaving the country?

I was supposed to start my MBA in Bangkok next month but backed out due to personal reasons. Now I want to spend an extended amount of time “living” in the city to ensure I am truly willing to commit the next 2 years of my life to it. Hoping to experience this and start school (if that’s the path I choose) before May.
