TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired if leaving Thailand for Vietnam after having their visa approved would still allow them to enter Thailand with the new visa. The responses confirmed that as long as they have their approved visa printed out, they can leave and re-enter Thailand without issues, as their visa would be stamped upon return.

Yes is the answer. You just have to leave and on return you will get stamped in on your visa.

Any land border that is open to foreigners is also ok
