Is there a limit to the number of entries by land (from Cambodia)? My visa expires on 20.1.25 and in 2024 I will exceed the annual 180 days, does the count reset in a new year? 🙏🙏

Hello! I am getting conflicting information about reentering Thailand and was wondering if anyone could help.

I entered Thailand from Cambodia on 15th September 2024 by car to fly from Bangkok to Indonesia.

I entered again from Malaysia by car 29th October 2024 to travel the North of Thailand for 11 days.

I am in Laos now and would like to go to the south of Thailand for around three weeks. Will I need a visa for this if I’d like to stay for that long? Online it says different things; that I’d have to fly instead of enter by car, or apply for a tourist visa, or simply that when I arrive I have 60 days.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi; on my first visa run I went to arranyaprathet (not been here a few yrs) and was refused same day return and a red stamp detailing this in thai was entered into pp and flew back

2nd time I went to Ranong for land crossing.

Question is, I wonder if the first refused attempt will be counted as a cancelled entry, and uses up one of these land entries? Thanks

A question on no visa travel from the UK. I believe you are allowed two 30 days no visa entries per calendar year? Or is it as many as you want to travel.

If two, my question, I travelled no visa Dec 8th 2022 (45days) and that ran out on Jan 20th 2023. Does that count as a no visa for the calendar year 2022 or2023

Thank you.

Greetings all, my first post. I am aware that you can only cross over by land twice in a calendar year. But I also heard that that law does not apply to ASEAN member nations. That ASEAN nations can cross by land any number of times in a calendar year. Can someone please shed light on this? Many thanks!

Hey everyone, first of all thanks for welcoming me to the group,

I am currently in Savannakhet with my girlfriend ( not civil union or marriage ) and I have been puzzled about certain visa regulations. I have a non imm B with a work permit but my girlfriend cannot be dependent on my visa as there is no recognized union between us. Today at the Thai consulate in savannakhet she was refused a 60 days tourist visa and the consulate said it was because she had done too many. However, she has only done one 60 days tourist visa in 2019, one exemptions of 30 days coming in from Laos, and another exemption of 30 days, after leaving Thailand for a month, and arriving on an international flight from Paris.

The consulate made it very clear that her only option to re enter Thailand was a transit visa to get her belongings and leave, with no possibility of return before 2020. We eventually took this option after a long debate with consulate staff.

My question is, in her situation would there have been any alternative? And more importantly now that she has a 30 day transit visa is there anything we can do so she can stay longer or will she actually have to stay outside Thailand until 2020?

Sorry for the long text but wanted to be as detailed as possible and we would appreciate any serious advice or knowledge on the situation.

I have a friend from the US who is coming here for 62 days and his plan is to get a visa on arrival in Bangkok and then go to Lao and come back through Savannakhet and he asked if I thought he would have any problem getting a 30 day visa on a land entry there. Does anyone have any experience with that?

He made one trip here in January and had been back in the US for 6-7 months.

Hi, just got an ED visa in USA. Plan on studying Thai for one year with extensions. Do I need a return ticket to show immigration when I enter Thailand? I will have 20,000 Baht (equivalent) and housing lease with me. Plan to enter by land at Nong Khai Friendship Bridge. Thanks
