Has anyone experienced issues with payment when applying in HCM? It keeps displaying the message *Payment failed or cancelled.*

I’ve tried all the suggested solutions, such as using different cards, submitting a new application, and changing the address to match my billing card, but nothing has worked.

I wonder if this is a systematic error.

Seeking advice about the 1 year extension based on having a Thai Wife - at ChaengWattana.

* Is booking required, or are walk-ins also accepted? First available booking on the website is 3 Jan, I need to apply on 6 or 9 December. Is it better to arrive early to be at front of queue, or are afternoons quieter?

* does anyone have a recent copy of the document checklist they could provide me. I've been working of Phitsanulok checklist, so not sure what requirements would be different.

* For the B400,000 statement and letter from the bank, can that be from a few days before the application, or do I have to get something from the bank on the morning of application

* Does the KorRor22 have to be printed same day as application, or can be earlier? Phitsanulok office require it printed same day as the application.

* How much notice do they normally give before home visits? What if you are out at the shops, visiting friends, restaurant, etc?

For reference - I'm on an Australian passport, with Non-Imm O visa. Current entry stamp expires 9 December, visa stamp is already expired. Married to Thai wife. We tried to apply today at Phitsanulok immigration, since we are currently staying there, however, have been sent to apply at Bangkok immigration since that is our more primary residence (we alternate between both locations frequently) and were planning to be there most of December.

Phitsanulok immigration said there would be 3 home visits during the 30 day under application period, and at least 1 would be unannounced, and if we were not home when they turned up the whole visa would simply be cancelled.

Any advice appreciated, as I'd like to avoid multiple trips out to ChaengWattana.

Posting because this group has been very helpful.

DTV success in HCMC, Vietnam. Soft Power - Muay Thai.

Applied from Danang on Nov. 27 around 11am, received the visa today, Dec. 4 around 1pm. 5 business days as advertised. Provided 6 months of bank statements, including a recent screenshot of my balance because my most recent statement only covered until Oct. 30 (all over 500k THB), relevant paperwork from the gym, proof of presence in Vietnam (photo of VN visa stamp, VN evisa, hotel booking and receipt combined into a PDF). Did not receive any requests for additional documentation. Fairly painless process.

Thanks everyone, and good luck.

Today went to DLT Chatuchak in Bangkok, wasn't sure if I will get 2 or 5 years driving licence today. Staff needed to discuss a little bit and they apologise but they can give me only 2 years driving licence. They say a few days ago they would gave me 5 years. But they said that "some regulations changed". If other DLTs still issue 5 years DL for DTV holders maybe it is worth to have trip there.

I applied for a spouse visa in HCM on the afternoon of the 28th afternoon.

The status of the checking document was changed to pending approval on Sunday, and until today, neither additional documents have been requested nor approval has been received. I have submitted all the required docs as:

PP bio

HCM arrival stamp

Flight ticket

Hotel booking in HCM

6months bank statement with 500k Baht under my name

Cover letter

My husband's DTV visa

Sponsorship letter from my husband

Marriage certificate

What I'm worried about now is that my flight is tomorrow afternoon, so if I don't have the approval yet, will I be able to pass through the Thai immigration as the arrival visa?

Please also assist sharing if you have any experience about what to do for the stamp if I get approved after arriving in Thailand 🥹

Thank you 🙏

UPDATE! Got my DTV stamp as soon as I arrived in Thailand Monday, here’s the full rundown:

Got approved from Hanoi (took 5 working days) via the E visa system. (Muay Thai soft power)

Arrived to Don Mueang International airport on Monday the lady at immigration greeted me with a smile when I told her I have the DTV visa.

Showed her it on my phone within a minute she stamped my passport and I was let in no questions asked.

Love you Thailand ❤️🇹🇭

Hey,

I know similar things have been asked before and I know this group is about DTV (I have a DTV) and not tax. However, maybe someone can guide me in the right direction.

I have stayed 177 days in Thailand this year, meaning, if I wanted to, I could come over for a week and become a tax resident.

Now, I am not trying to avoid paying taxes in Thailand, I actually want to pay taxes in Thailand. I am not a tax resident in my homecountry anymore. So I would like to pay my total taxes in Thailand.

Does anyone have experience with paying taxes in Thailand as a digital nomad without another tax residency other than Thailand.

Can you point me in the right direction?

I have allready asked a Thai tax consultant, he didn´t seem to know or understand.

For the haters: I have always paid my taxes where I had to, I am not trying to avoid, I am trying to do right, understand and optimise.
