Good day everyone! I wonder if anyone can perhaps shed some light on the following please? My Visa and Work Permit will expire on 25 Feb 2025, and I'm not sure whether I will get a new contract. If I don't, I have to leave no later than the 25th, but I understand that there is a procedure through which I can get a 7-day grace period, as my preferred flight is the Monday 3rd March. Is this accurate and what would the procedure be? Is it something one can just take for granted, that it will be approved, since I would like to book my outward bound ticket as soon as possible? Thanks in advance!

Non-O Thai wife visa extension is "under consideration" until Jan 13 but my previous year's extension expires Jan 30.

Am I required to pick up my new extension exactly on Jan 13? Or can I go any time between Jan 13 - Jan 30?

I'm trying to avoid 2 trips to Chaeng Wattana. One for picking up my extension on Jan 13 and another for some driver's license document on Jan 27.

Is there anyone meet situation like "delivered visa by email" but cannot see any visa in your email ? I sure that my email address is correct. It has happened like this for 2 days. Should I contact to The Royal Thai consulate or continue waiting ? Thanks!

Got a question. I’m considering moving to Hua Hin using the retirement visa process. I know I can do the process here at the United States Thailand Embassy. But I was thinking of just going to Thailand and start the process shortly after my arrival. Then just staying. I know on the immigration card that is given on the plane. There is a section for return flight information. If I didn’t have a return flight entering as a tourist. Will this possibly be an issue?

I actually had a retirement visa when I lived in Bangkok for three years. But moved back to the USA in 2023. But back then I visited Bangkok for three months and started the process then . Then returned to the United States

Also had a problem with holiday visa when I arrived in Thailand in December due to being there 6 months this year already as a tourist so I was sent back to Australia, this didn’t seem to affect applying for DTV. Maybe different at the boarder but I was told to go and get a proper visa if I wanted to stay in Thailand so hopefully they will accept.

Emphasised that i dont work for Thai companies and i that i am earning in foreign currency.

- two contracts from the last 6 months

- bank statements from the last six months (provided for two accounts - both accounts combined had a total balance of USD $15,000 in December but not in the previous months. One of them was a WISE account)

Dec 27 was asked for 6 months of bank statements (previously had filtered for income only, this time sent in full statements - responded within an hour of receiving email)

Jan 3 status moved from “Pending document check” to “Pending approval”.

Jan 6 approved (9 business days in total when excluding weekends and embassy holidays)

DTV approved for Thai soft power Muay Thai in Ho Chi Minh Vietnam. Submitted application Thursday January 2nd around 9pm, approval came today, January 9th at 3pm. No additional documents were requested. The gym I used was FITFAC in Bangkok.

Has anyone applied for their DTV visa in South Korea, if so how was the process and experience?

Has anyone submitted an extension yet?

I need to extend for my wife as she is giving birth next month. Her DTV expires March 11
