Can I get a 7-day grace period after my visa expires in Thailand?

Good day everyone! I wonder if anyone can perhaps shed some light on the following please? My Visa and Work Permit will expire on 25 Feb 2025, and I'm not sure whether I will get a new contract. If I don't, I have to leave no later than the 25th, but I understand that there is a procedure through which I can get a 7-day grace period, as my preferred flight is the Monday 3rd March. Is this accurate and what would the procedure be? Is it something one can just take for granted, that it will be approved, since I would like to book my outward bound ticket as soon as possible? Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about extending their stay in Thailand for 7 days after their visa and work permit expire on February 25, 2025. They are unsure of the process since they may not be receiving a new contract. A comment clarified that the procedure involves going to Immigration on the expiration date to cancel the current Extension of Stay and apply for a new one (TM7), which would result in getting a stamp for a 7-day grace period to leave Thailand.

You go to Immigration on the 25th to cancel you current Extension of Stay (I assume, not a Visa) and apply for an Extension of Stay (TM7), pay 1900B and get an "Extension denied, 7 days to leave Thailand" stamped in your passport
