Hello, I plan to apply for DTV visa under power soft muay thai category, already have gym documents and +500k thb in my Thai bank. I recieve passive income from my savings and make some extra with affiliate maketing but nothing significant.

Is it okay if I say I’m Unemployed in the application? It might give the impression I make not income which is not true. Could this make visa denial more likely? Thanks.

Approved for DTV Under Soft Power Muay Thai – Thai Embassy Jakarta

First off, a huge thank you to this group for all the valuable information and resources! If you're considering applying for a DTV visa, I highly recommend using the search function to find posts specific to the embassy you plan to apply from.

If you have the flexibility, Jakarta is a great option for applying. Processing times are fast—typically 3 to 5 working days, with reports of approvals in as little as 24 hours in some cases. They also seem to follow standard guidelines without unnecessary requests for extra documents (in most cases).

My Background

I’m a U.S. citizen and applied under the Soft Power Muay Thai category. For peace of mind, I booked a 30-minute DTV visa consultation ($99) through Siam Legal to review my documents. While not strictly necessary, I found it worthwhile since they handle DTV applications daily across multiple embassies and stay updated on real-time requirements.

Documents I Submitted

Proof of Activity

* Document from Muay Thai school (FITFAC, Bangkok)

* 9-month course – 35,990 THB (higher than some other options)

* Includes 45 private sessions + unlimited group classes

* Siam Legal confirmed FITFAC is reputable, with no known rejections for applicants training there

Financial Documents

* 3-month bank statements (topped up one month prior from my crypto exchange)

* Screenshot of banking app showing required funds on the day of submission

* Screenshot of exchange rate on the day of submission

* Bank balance letter (Charles Schwab provides this instantly via online banking)

* All financial docs merged into a single PDF

Proof of Location

* Indonesia EVOA + Visa Stay Permit PDFs

* *Note:* If you enter through electronic gates, you won’t get a passport stamp, but you’ll receive an e-visa email immediately

* Hotel reservation PDF (Jakarta)

* Photo of hotel room key

* All location docs merged into a single PDF

Employment & Source of Funds

* I primarily fund my lifestyle through crypto investments and DeFi activities.

* Siam Legal advised listing my employment as "Freelance" and reporting my 2024 profits as my income.

* I also prepared crypto portfolio screenshots & proof of monthly withdrawals to my bank as supporting documents, but none were requested.

Timeline

* 3/9: Arrived in Jakarta late evening, submitted application right after checking into my hotel

* 3/10: Status updated to "Pending Document Check (1)"

* 3/13: Status changed to "Pending Approval (1)" around 15:00

* 3/14: Approved! Received the approval email at 19:50

* Total processing time: 5 working days, no additional documents requested

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions—I’m happy to assist.

I would like to apply for a soft power Muay Thai DTV.

What would be the requirements for a gym that would be considered accepted for immigration?

I already train at a small local gym, but I don’t believe they are government approved, would it be possible anyway to use them?

I don’t really want to train elsewhere, as I like this place, so if not, what other options would there be to get the soft power Muay Thai?

Hello, everyone!

I’m currently in Thailand on a student visa, which expires on April 13. Can I fly to Da Nang, stay in my family’s apartment, and apply for the DTV (Soft Power Muay Thai) online through the Thai embassy in Hanoi? Or do I need a hotel booking in Hanoi?

Hi everyone,

I went to Taiwan Taipei Thai embassy on Wednesday Dec 17 9am to apply soft power Muay Thai they told me to come bakc at 3 pm and came late so they told me to come back the next day 3pm. They asked me a few questions like how long have you been in Thailand what do you do for work do you have a Thai bank account they asked me when I first came to Thailand 2018 as a tourist in and out and got stuck out when covid happened. Officially moved to Thailand when I opened a business and worked in it because of covid business slowed down a lot amd we shut it down. After shutting it down I did a education visa and tried to apply for,the Thai elite visa but got refused because education visas were frowned upon (a blessing for me I’d say) and the DTV came out applied for it and got approved picked up my passport.

Now I’m having trouble applying for a motorbike license went to 2 places they both refused because I didn’t have a work permit.im under 50 retired. Anyone know a legit place in Bangkok preferably sathon Rama 3 area.

Thank you all in Advance for taking the time to read this.

Approved from Sydney Consulate for Soft Power Muay Thai from Tiger Eye Bkk (highly recommend),

Nationality - British

Approved in 9 working days

Proof of Balance over 500k equivalent in gbp, no 6 months bank statements required, exchange rate on day also attached

Length of Muay Thai booking : 1 month unlimited

Also had a problem with holiday visa when I arrived in Thailand in December due to being there 6 months this year already as a tourist so I was sent back to Australia, this didn’t seem to affect applying for DTV. Maybe different at the boarder but I was told to go and get a proper visa if I wanted to stay in Thailand so hopefully they will accept.

Thanks to everyone in this group for all your help.

If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer
