Kind Advice Requested...

I applied for my Muay Thai DTV in Hanoi. My application was canceled, saying that I didn't have enough months left in my passport.

So we hoofed it over to the Embassy and filed for new passports.

I just got word that our new passports are arriving early next week, so I have to re-apply. Do I re-apply at Hanoi, or do I have to switch to HCMC? You switch cities if you get a rejection, right? But for a cancelation, you can re-apply at the same location?

Please let me know if you have actual experience with this.

My name is Kelly Cusick, I am here on a DTV visa and I am trying to get my son a visa. He has been here on a tourist visa, I was scammed by an agent who I was using to get an education visa for my son. She held his passport for weeks and also scammed us out of 600 dollars, because she held his passport and did not return it my son Brennan has now overstayed his visa. He is 4 years old and enrolled at kings college. I want to know what should our next steps be. We went to immigration on the 29th to try and sort it out they said to come back today and they would do the visa stamp but the officer we went to said they can not do it because the visa needs 15 days left on it. What should I do?? They do not seem to know the answer either.

If i move my required funds for retirement extensions from, say, bkk bank to kasikorn, will it have any repercussions when applying for next extension in january?

I will be applying for a DTV soft power when I am back in the uk. So applying through the London embassy as uk passport holder. When I input flight details into the e visa system can I just put my proposed flight details using Emirates or Qatari flight numbers or do I actually have the tickets bought already?

DTV holder and ex-owner of a Bangkok Bank account.

Last year I opened an account myself through Bangkok Bank with a personal referral from a branch employee and in-person approval from the manager at the branch.

A few days ago, an error kept popping up every time I tried to pay.

Long story short, I went into the bank and the teller informed me it’s because I have the DTV and that they had closed my account. I told her I had applied for the account myself, had a referral, a year long house lease, and my daughter goes to school here. She profusely apologized but at the end of it all, no exceptions.

They closed my account and gave me my money back.

Definitely a bummer but we were expecting this to happen at some point.

Can someone explain what I need to prove in terms of funds in the bank, employment history etc. im from canada looking to travel get my visa and arrive in January next year.

anyone know Ottawa's 🇨🇦 wait time for DTV Visas recently? Called & applied last week and they said 25 business days but hoped that was more of a cautious estimate from them. Seen ppl getting theirs in like a week.

I know many people have had their Bangkok Bank account frozen. I was just curious if anyone has used UOB? I have both a Bangkok Bank and a UOB account so far no problems with either.

The UOB account is a legacy Citibank account, I thought maybe people having problems with BB could try UOB, they seem ok with branches and ATM everywhere.

I'm planning to move to Chiang Mai in October 2026 with the DTV Soft Powers.

Does anyone know how flexible the 6 month cooking classes are? Do you have to go everyday or can you negotiate how often you go as long as you finish all the classes? Thanks!
