Avoid crossing the Thailand–Cambodia border. It is best not to get your DTV visa in Cambodia. The situation in both countries is extremely tense.

The discussion raises concerns about crossing the Thailand-Cambodia border to obtain a DTV visa, with one participant advising against it due to perceived tensions in both countries. However, other commenters counter this by sharing their own positive experiences, stating that the border crossing is functioning normally and that the situation is calming down. They emphasize that traveling through Cambodia to get a DTV visa can still be safe, with some even successfully completing their visa process recently.

You are really behind the news. Good thing you posted anonymously you tool. I was in Cambodia during the so called “tense” situation and nothing happened. Returned today through Poipet and it took me only 25 minutes

Anonymous participant 401 and there should be NO issue entering thailand from cambodia at ANY of the land borders

As long as you're trying to do it when they are open (some have squirrelly hours now)

They are not targeting foreigners entering/leaving thailand OR cambodia
