I just found out that the DTV Visa doesn’t limit the right to own a condo in Thailand.

If you planned to stay in Chiang Mai for 5 years

would you buy or rent?

So how long do you all think the DTV soft power option will be available like that ?

Now with all the changes for tourist visa I’m worried they will get it that a 6 month course doesn’t really justify a 5 year visa.. anybody had the experience applying for DTV but getting less than 5 year visa ? Or does it depend on the embassy you’re applying at ?

Could someone send me a blank copy of the residency certificate form for Phuket or direct me to where I can download 🙂. For driving licence application

Driving licence as a tourist. For clarity does anyone know if you can get a DL as a tourist? The driving licence in most DLTs requires a residence certifcate, which requires a long term visa. I've seen many reports that tourists are getting a DL, any thoughts or did I miss something

Quick question: I read the for some kind of Visa 25K US$ are required to be in my US bank for three months. Does that have to be in a specific account, like Savings or Checking, or can it be in the form of a 6 months CD? Thanks for your help.

Most codes show “foreign T/T” but TWO show “Dep TRF FR E-CH”. Anyone know if this still shows foreign deposit for immigration.

Help, I’ve applied for a visa. In the uk. But they’re asking me for my hotel reservation. But I own a condo. I’ve sent them a screenshot of the chanot & a page of the blue book. But it’s all in Thai.

Hey if you are planning to come here and operate a any vehicle PLEASE make sure you read the traffic laws where you can and cant park - thai police at least in chiang mai have been ramping up parking enforcement to the point ive seen videos of tourist posting

Its called driving class - they tell you all that - so many bikes have been locked up and cars for double parking - they been hitting locals as well. Seen it all day today - so if you are coming even as a tourist and you plan to rent car or motorbike please know the rules before you operate - if you dont please dont make a video or posts complaining that you were not informed of the driving rules here - thats your responsibility to find out.
