I know the consulates in Laos check your eligibility for certain visas before applying. I accompanied a Chinese woman who applied and got her money back.

cannabis has got a lot to do with this shit. Many of my friends in the hotel business say general behavior changed since legalization. Smoking in the rooms or at the hotel restaurant, passing out in hallways, dudes pissing in the lobby plants, loud arguments in the middle of the night, fights, etc.

thank you for your detailed response. Nothing exaggerated… a couple visits last year and no visa runs. I wasn’t aware Thailand didn’t have a 6 months requirement.

indeed. Folks at consular affairs said 4-5 weeks. Thank you for the compliment 🙏

Sounds like you’re living in Thailand by using these visa exemptions. If you’re using them consecutively, that’s the issue. 2 back to back of these essentially means 6 months, which translates to“living in Thailand.” They do want you to live in Thailand, but there’s a price to pay for that “service”.

none. You show up to immigration and pay the 1900 baht fee. Some offices need your tm30 form to be in order when applying for the extension.

it’s just common sense to wait for your visa to be processed as you need your passport. Average is 2 weeks.
