@Steve **********
, if you have residency in Thailand, it begs the question of why you need a new visa 🤣🤔

@Greg **********
, if you need a minimum of 30 days left, it means you can't apply, say a week before expiration.

Let's agree to disagree 😉

By the way. Your comment were spot on, except for one word we disagree on.

Yes, you can. If you buy a re-entry permit before you leave.

This will keep your 90 days stamp alive.

You must be back in time to apply for the extension though.

It's not MINIMUM 30 days before like someone wrote. It's MAXIMUM 30 days before (45 days in some offices).

The extension is usually processed on the spot or the next day.

@Andrew *******
, Peggy is not correct.

Buy a re-entry permit before you leave and you will keep your 90 day stamp alive.

You can buy that either at an immigration office or ar the airport before departure.

, Thai embassies doesn't grant stay permits in Thailand. That's up to Immigration Bureau to do.

So you comply with their requirements.

They changed the form during the pandemic, because of the Spesial Tourist Visa (STV). They charged 2000 Baht for the extension with that one.

I have a writeable TM7 pdf of the old one, and it have been no problem to use it.

Too bad if I can't anymore, because now I just have to change a couple of dates and print it every year.

@Tony ********
, it's valid exactly as long as your current stay permit (entry/extension stamp).
