TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are staying at your girlfriend's place in Thailand on a 60-day visa, you are required to complete the TM30 form, which is a mandatory report by the property owner about the arrival of a foreigner. This report must be filed within 24 hours, either online or at the local immigration office. Failure to do so could lead to fines ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 baht, and possible deportation. If you're staying in a hotel, they typically handle the TM30 for you. It is essential to keep a copy or proof of the TM30 for any police or immigration inquiries.

Not in Udon Thani, they don't ask for it for 30 day extension

She lodges it on-line, either printout the lodgement or take a screenshot.

Yes. If you go to a party you need to report it to Immigration.
if you are staying in holiday accommodation as hotel as a tourist you are almost guaranteed it done for you but as l keep saying if you are staying in a private home you will have to do it or go to a visa agent for 200-500 baht, everyone will say it’s easy to do but if you are in the tourist areas it can be hours of queues
yes there is and very easy to understand but if you live in a private home owned by a Thai it is your responsibility to complete the TM30. Hotel and so on do bear the responsibility. If they don’t copy your passport on check in then they are not doing a TM30 to avoid taxes
l drive about a hour from my village of Pakham to Buriram for a two day holiday with my and do it in person and have never had any problems. The online system is still problematic in country. I can’t speak for the system outside the kingdom
At anytime you are questioned by police or immigration and don’t have a copy of your TM 30 you are in trouble. If you are staying in a hotel they will take a copy of your passport and do the TM30 but if you are saying at a private residence you are required to complete the TM30 on line or at immigration
no need for him to have a copy of the tm30 on him, until he goes back to immigration, but it's his landlord who is responsible to ensure that they have done it even if its his girlfriend who owns the property or it's down to the owner
wow could you be any more wrong. It is the property owners responsibility. Imagine all those tourists, that have never heard of a TM30 being fined and deported 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡
I have a non O visa and when we went to get information on the non O one year visa we had to fill out the TM 30 and were fined 800 Baht and it was no big deal to immigration. We brought the form back the next day. I have been here for over 90 days staying not in a hotel much of the time. I have been in and out of Thailand 3 times in that period.
no I’m not really interested, l live in lsan with my Thai wife and family on our own land and I still have to do a TM30 every 90 days report. We have to show our house book.
no one is deported for not having a TM30. It's not even your responsibility. It's the property owner's responsibility. You can't be deported because your hotel didn't fill out a form
really, at the end of the day l advise someone that he is not registered in hotel and in private premises it is in his best interest to submit a TM30 and you said if you are only staying 60 days and no asking for immigration support don’t worry about a TM30
and I also stated what the law was. I'm giving complete information so they can make their own informed decision. Not scaremongering with things that never happen.
Legally, any property owner in Thailand is required to report the arrival of a foreigner within 24 hours. This is doing through the online TM30 system or in person at the local immigration office.
Realistically, if you don't plan on going to immigration at all during your entire stay in Thailand, then you won't need a TM30. The TM30 is only needed when getting some type of service from the immigration office.
he comes on a 60 days visa exempt and stays at his girlfriend house without doing a TM30 and decides to apply for a 30 day extension at immigration. He has been living in Thailand without submitting a TM30 for 60 days. Tell him the outcome as you clearly think you are a expert on Thai immigration

You are the one that clearly has no comprehension of what you say or read. Good bye l have better things to do than argue with clowns
no you don’t he asked if he is staying in his Thai girlfriend house dose he need to do a TM30, yes he does, no reception in a private residence to do on his behalf
