VOA isn't for USA citizens. if you want up to date info then why are you relying on random websites? You have the choice of the VE which is 45 days or TR60 which is in advance at your consulate. And the VE will change again likely March.
People, look at the visa requirements of the consulate first before booking ANYTHING. Otherwise you will have to keep on drinking in every city until your appointment turns up. Admin you can close comments.
I'm stupid I booked flight and hotel and then looked at the HCMC requirements for appt, next appt is next Friday, so yeah, I'll go party in HCMC thru the weekend then head to Hanoi so I can walk up next Monday and apply. Or I try a quick 2 day trip before end this week in Hanoi to get the visa and throw away the hotel reservation in HCMC.
